Love them both. Both have locks that allow proper drop close. The M4 has killer tooth and cuts paracord like its string. The Malibu fits better in my pocket. A LOT better. The PM2 is a big ass work knife in my opinion. The Malibu is more refined with a wonderful lock. It’s also a better fit in tight jeans. You know: reaching in to grab your keys syndrome. Ok ok ok!!! I love them both!

Thanks! I love my crucarta PM2, but it’s definitely bigger than my preference for EDC. I’ve been on the lookout for a Malibu for a while. Definitely plan on picking one up.

Thing is……..…….My Malibu and small Sebenza are both Magnacut with desirable corrosion resistance. It sharpens to a wonderful edge and new blades need little more than stropping. But……….I’m loving the cutting performance of new generation tool steels and not ready to go back to stainless pursuits just yet. My “big three” choices so far are Maxamet, M4 and (drum roll please) Big Brown Bear PM2 in 15v.

That pm2 is a looker. Congrats.
M4 just wants to get really sharp no matter the grit. Also, the deep carry clips don't really hurt ergonomics and can still pull the knife out comfortably especially with a lanyard like that! I recommend a black clip

So why hasn't the Shaman been mentioned? I really like smaller knives (Chaparral, lil-native) but the leaf shape blades just look great to me, and I have begun to prefer the back lock. They don't deploy as effortlessly, but they seem to work really well.

I’m enjoying both para 3 and PM2 very much. My standard deployment is reverse middle finger. Hard to pick up my other choices lately. Yes, I browsed the Shaman and even found a Big Brown Bear 15v but just felt more inclined toward the PM2
