I am done with Bark River!!

As to the time...

Bark River makes all of their knives in small runs. If someone special orders something, it has to wait until the next run. Sometimes that is years.

Very true. I was (am?) on a group of users from KF who he picked out to give input on a folding knife design. It's been 4 years, and nothing's ever come of it. Always after (insert time landmark here).

I grant Great Eastern stole their thunder- the design was to be a single-blade Remington 1123- but still. 4 years, and nothing more than a pencil drawing.

He mentioned our getting test knives. That's fine. I'll even test it and hand it back, or buy it if I like it enough, I don't need a freebie. Still strange to lead on a group for over 4 years.

I wouldn't think it would take long to get a knife into production, especially when using a design that has been around for years

Never made sense to me, either. GEC went from nothing to a powerhouse faster than that. I grant it wouldn't be as simple as disassemble and duplicate, but still...

The wait time would not be cool with me nor the holes in the pins. The rest IMO is normal stuff. The only BRKT that I really like is the Bravo-1.I have one in CM154 steel. The kydex sheath leaves alot to be desired, hoping to find a sharpshooter soon or make a kydex for it.

Wow, how anyone would even consider buying BRKT after a history like that is beyond me.

Wow!!! I was just talking with my wife about Bark River and some other past events, scroll down and see this thread brought back- spooky!!!!!
