You have a right to your opinion (to OP), and I respect you for it. I respect anyone who has the balls to challenge the masses. Going after Spyderco on this forum... oh, brother. Well, you saw it yourself. But, I humbly disagree with you about Spyderco, even though I respect you having the balls to have a unique opinion (most people will disagree with you... including me).
I only own one Spyderco, a LadyBug, and quite frankly, it is a fantastic knife. I went through two other knives on my key chain that both ended up in a drawer after having deal-breaker flaws (for me, not for everyone... just for me). My SAK Classic had a tiny blade that closed way too easily and did not lock, almost causing me to cut my finger a few times while cutting with it. That got replaced by a Buck Nano Bantam, which had a funky lock back design that made it easy to close accidentally, as well, and thus not secure enough for me. The blade steel rusted easily, too.
That got replaced with my LadyBug, and MAN what a knife. It is ergonomic, looks beautiful, has great steel, is built to high standards of quality, and feels good in the hand and CUTS like a champ. So, I can only speak from my experience with one Spyderco, but I give my Spyderco 10/10, and I would happily buy another Spyderco.
