Nice blades Hoss. That 21 is begging to be used.

I plan to head up tomorrow with a few kukri-ish blades and some other large chopping blades and see how they stack up.

BH, what did you use to strip the heavy bowie? Mine has laughed at mere epoxy paint stripper.

Now that I think about it, I think I tried two treatments of Klean-strip spray-on stripper and then hit what was left with a wire wheel in my drill.

Gonna take any video?

Sure will. Maiden voyage and ya'll get to see it.

Yeah Hoss, Parangatang, BK21, Grass Machete....Chop a lop off.

Plus Ontario Kukri, CS Kukri Machete, Condor Bushcraft Parang and I might throw in a BK4 and BK9 for a baseline.

So when I first saw the BK21 sheath I thought it looked an awful lot like the CS Kukri Machete sheath. It's not of course but the CS Kukri Machete does fit in the BK21 sheath. I don't have the original sheath for the Kukri Machete but the taco style sheath I bought for it fits the BK21 nicely.

Just had to share.

 lol @ premium firewood.

filled up my growler the other day at my local brewery. Made some ribs to go with it. Was a good night.

Great firewood video. But why is there a part of me that thinks there are some folks who would be proud to pay $1200 for a stick of firewood - and would be glad to display it and talk about it's merits.

So I bought something the other day. Found it on popular auction site. I debated back and forth for at least an hour before buying it. In a few days I'll have it in my hands. An old stock Cam BK6 blank. :)

I can't decide if I want to get a normal 10/22 and get the magpul x22 stock, or get the takedown model and a adtac rm4, and hope magpul releases a takedown stock.

any opinions?

Psyched for the vid!

Awesome pics Hoss!!

I guess i missed the memo about the RBK being out.... Looks beautiful.

Spike, If i was looking to get a 10/22 and the only thing i was changing out was the stock...... Id pick the rifle configuration that fits the stock i like best. The wife went with the RM4 because we need the room for the bull barrel and really like the monopod/bipod setup and mags in the butt. But had we not planned on the bull barrel there might be a different stock here. If i was really wanting the X22 stock, id go with the standard 10/22.

The takedown is cool... But unless i really planned on using it to hike the country and stalk squirrels from one state to another or some crap id go with the standard personally. More options and accessories for cheaper with the standard.

Look... where you like your mags is none of our business :D

Butt storage is always a good option. Some people Butt's are larger then others (This is dependant on the rifle).

Also, Good morning.

Well, no luck with the hunt yesterday. But the most important thing is that he had a great time and is itching to get out in the woods again.

What do you guys have going on today?

Jeremy
