Wait, that was a reference to Firefly? In that case, I'm not sure I want to watch it.

You've not seen Firefly?
Oh, you're going to burn in a very special level in hell.
BTW, do NOT watch Serenity until after you have watched Firefly. *spoilers*
Would you swear on your pretty floral bonnet that I need to watch it?

GSO nice job with the jacks. I bought mine mostly for a porch job, but also dragging and logging.
Got a bunch of 3/8ths super alloy shackles but not the big guy like you have. I waited as I did know ultimate size I needed.
Was that 2x4 attached to the upper of the jack pole with a slider? Might help with twisting out fail mode. Just me, safety sally.
Yes. You very much need to see it. You'll understand pretty quickly why, and you'll wonder why you ever thought your life was complete without Firefly. So great... Although, I dunno, you might be a little young for some of the content. It's kinda risque at times (and if that doesn't get you to watch it, something is deeply wrong with you).

Nevermind watching every episode tomorrow.
We've got a neighbor down the street that wears a HUGE bonnet when she's working in the yard. It appears that she's out there with scissors cutting the grass, but I could be mistaken. Haven't gotten a close enough look at the bonnet to see if it has a floral pattern, though. Bigghoss, do they make them with patterns other than floral?

In retrospect, I probably should have attached the 2x4 to the jack... But I had them both positioned to lean into the brick pillars so they wouldn't twist. And I didn't work underneath the rafters, just on the ladder off the edge of the porch where I could cut out the old beam and remove the nails. So I'm not entirely reckless...
I did use jack stands when I used the Reese jack to lift a shed and remove a honeybee colony that had set up shop underneath. No way I was going to be squeezed under a shed with angry bees if the jack slipped...
Edit: I really think the JackMate is well designed and am waiting anxiously for a chance to use it to pry open a wrecked car or something. And you can't quite see it in the first picture, but under the shackle is a handy cut out for pulling fence posts and a cut out to use as a bottle cap opener (like everyone's favorite neck knife). The directions even say to "use responsibly."
Now I'm kinda tempted to marathon it again myself. Been almost a year since the last time.
Hoss, you telling me you don't cut your grass with an AA-12?
fear of the walking dead (kinda slow but good)
Alaska haunting
