I'm not trying to bust the guys chops, but you can order a black magnum canvas handle with a OD green blade direct from Busse for $327 + shipping (around $10) and about a two week wait, but there is a guy on the exchange that is asking $427 for one!!! I just don't get it!

I know that there are people who will not order from the Busse Combat Knife Company.

For them, there is either the Company Store or the secondary market.

Let's see if it sells.

Saw it and wondered myself but to each his own. In another thread he's selling the other two for Xmas scratch so that may have something to do with it. Why the hell wouldn't someone want to order direct????

Saw that one too. Usually there are some instant flippers but some at least offer sheaths at prices like that.

this one is even worse: Ebay link removed

(this really shouldn't count as auction spotting)

If it links to a live (current) auction, it does... Save yourself!

Who WOULDN'T order directly from Busse??? I mean... What, no Amy???? Horrors!!! :D:D
:)

That's weird...I don't get it either. Seems like a pretty sly way to make a few bucks don't you think?

I use to think that but that is just how things work. If someone wants to pay that amount so be it. If not he'll be forced to reduce the price or retract the sale. some people don't research before they buy and some may just want to get something sooner. I can't blame any seller for the prices their items sell at. I only blame the market and buyers for setting the prices.

At least no outright lies in that sale. No claims of wrong color, only 3 in the world, uber rare, the other two melted in a horrible toaster accident etc etc etc.

Ebay often has random amounts paid for common knives, then really rare ones go for a steal, or don't sell. You have to think that there are simply more people buying from ebay, who often don't really know what they are buying.

It happens. I can't believe that some one would pay such a huge mark up when you could just get it from the Man directly! It is not even as if you missed the boat on the model yet.

...Or claims of having, err I mean knowing "there is about a thousand dollars in it"... just after asking its value here just a few days before. At least the bidder on that particular auction didn't go for the high BIN price.

I'm Canadian, my government doesn't care what I'm doing. So long as I pay my taxes they're happy. ;)

Yes, but when the US invades Canada in order to get your oil fields, the men in black boots will come and take your knives away. :p

Yeah, I almost made a thread about this yesterday, because I was so surprised. The NMSFNOs are still available for 327 $ + shipping, and then someone goes and tries to sell one with a hundred bucks of air premium. WTF. That's what I would call 'flipping'...

There are a few folks out there that refuse to believe that most others have any common sense at all. Of course, such behavior quickly disappears when we use the "ignore" feature here on BF. Use it, and use it often! :)
