I forgot my knife at home.

I don't know whats worse, forgetting to wear a belt or not have my folder in my left pocket.
Neither scenario makes for a pleasant day.
I have two different knives in my tool bag, but when I reach into my pocket I want that particular knife for a certain task.

OMG, THIS! Both horrific and totally ruin my day.

Keep a knife on your keys, that way its impossible to leave without it.

This has never happened to me - it would be equivalent to forgetting my pants... and that too has never happened. And even if it DID happen, it still wouldn't happen because I have a back-up blade in my bag, and a 2nd back-up in my car (both a blade and pants - just in case - LOL!).

Yep…definitely hate that feeling. As a matter of fact, today I added small knives to all our key rings. Should provide a modicum of comfort if the unthinkable happens…Of course there are also fixed blade knives in our GHB's in each car :)

Yesterday I was in a worse spot than you pal. I didn't forget my knife at home, I had to leave my knife at home, because I had such a horrible backache going on I couldn't wear my belt. And for me no belt means no knife. And of course yesterday was the day I seriously needed it.

One time I forgot my 110 once and I thought I lost it. I was overjoyed to find it at home. Few things are as bad as thinking you have a knife, and then reaching into an empty pocket.

At work today, first thing notice my knife is gone while zipping my pants after a piss, was super salty all damn day that I had lost it...
I had also taken my back-up out of my bag because it had been in there quite some time unused and I was going to a bad part of the city where things can smash your window and tend to walk away also lol.

Thankfully I had my 102 on my belt, and it turned out that I had left the knife at home after a last minute inspection since I had just cleaned and oiled the blade...wheew!

I almost posted a thread and made a big stink! Boy would I have felt silly

Not to get off topic, but what sheath is that for your SAK. I wanted to put mine on my keychain but don't like using it when it's clipped on.

I get more upset at myself if I forget my knife than if I forget my cell phone. Been carrying knives many more years than a cell phone.

The withdrawls start about five seconds after I realize I'm without knife. Meditation doesn't help. Fondling my keychain blade until I get back home does.

a bit off topic

Financier,

Another way to attach a knife to your key ring is with a small snap hook. I have some very nice SS ones that I use and I also have some very small S bieners (sp?) that would work very well. I keep a Bug on my key ring with one of of the SS snap hooks as well as a small Fenix flash light.

Ric

PM me if and I can send you a link to the vendor for the SS snap hooks, they also come in titanium if you are concerned about weight.
