I would like to nominate @Jack Black for this GAW. When you think of the "Porch", and the things that define its essence, I have to think Jack Black checks all those boxes. He has great knowledge & contribution to this forum.

That is a dream knife for any of us Charlie. Everyone of those put forward are worthy recipients without a doubt. I'm gonna also say @afishhunter for the win. As already stated he would never buy such a knife but I know he would treasure and appreciate it. No matter the subject of a thread he is always quick to join in the discussion, offer personal insight and comment with enthusiasm and encouragement. A porch fellow through and through and I always enjoy his commitment and passion.

And thank you kind sir for such a wonderful GAW.
 
I would like to nominate "afishhunter". He would like this and he made me feel welcome in my state when I moved across the country. He messaged me and we talked about hunting. It was a small thing, but it stuck with me and that really made me feel better after moving so far and not knowing anyone. This knife isnt something he would normally get for himself, which makes it a perfect gift for him!
 
this is a wonderful thing to do, Charlie.... I'm sure that anyone would love to have one of your special knives... since @JohnDF, @r8shell and others have been nominated numerous times....I'm nominating @Jiki ... because of his intelligent, sharp wit, and his readiness to help anyone that asks. His whittling ain't bad, either 😂 .... so many good folks on the porch, and he's one of the good ones....

First, let me say thank you to Charlie @waynorth for doing this.
It is very generous of you and I know everybody here appreciates it very much.
Giving knives away and making people happy is very satisfying, be careful or it will become a habit. 😁

Next, I'd like to thank the ones that nominated me earlier.
It's always humbling to get nominated, it even brings feelings of guilt.
Deep down I'm always going, "Don't pick me, Don't pick me." But at the same time it's a great feeling and I say, "Thank You!"

Lastly, I guess i am going to have to pick somebody.
There are so many deserving people here. Some are stand-outs and others quietly contribute on a regular basis.
I'm sorry, but I am going to have to put more thought into it and come back with my nomination...
 
Okay, I'm back with my nomination.
I'd like to nominate Bart @Sacto for being that kind of guy that is deserving of this knife.
He's very active in the Totin' thread and a regular contributor in the Guardians thread... among others.
He's always quick with a kind word and freely shares his life, work, vacations, and hobbies for our enjoyment.
He gifted me an amazing knife that he modded himself and of course I'm hoping he will take me fishing again one day. 😁

Hey Charlie!- Super well done with this giveaway, I love your nickname for Joanne " she who finds knives " Has that Native American ring to it, it reminds me when I had my workshop- and we were all joking around and trying to find a name we call each other if we were to in an Native American Culture, I cant remember what they gave me - it would have something smart- But a guy named John used to talk like you wouldn't believe- just went on and on..., so I was thinking away and ........It hit me - I named him "Running Mouth " 😂

I would like to nominate Andrew @AFAustin, anybody who is a friend to dogs is a friend of mine and Andrew does SO MUCH hard work for the Dog Shelters, He at least deserves such a stunning Knife!

In saying that, the list of Champion people I could type out would have me busy for a good half an hour here, I am so privileged to have been looked after so well in these parts, so thank you everyone, and any person that does get to win from here in Traditionals will deserves it well, so to all the best of luck!

While there are many members who seem like great guys, and would make deserving recipients, I have to admit that @afishhunter was the first name that sprang to mind when I saw this.

I don’t want to embarrass the guy by elaborating too much on my reasons, but the Porch definitely would not be the same place without him.
