Thanks for the nomination and the kind words, John. That’s very nice of you. I truly enjoy the time I spend on here and the interactions. As soon as things slow down a bit we’ve got to go fishing again. 👍

Also, thanks to Charlie for a great giveaway. That’s a knife I would love to have.
 
Dang, I wish I had a couple extra screen names because there are three people I'd like to nominate...

How about Chief Chief - John has a remarkable TC barlow collection, and he's my favorite photographer on the Porch, so I'd love to see it appear in a line-up image of his. But more importantly, my collection is much more succinct these days and I'm in love with every knife in it, thanks to some perspectives and advice he shared with me, and that state-of being experience of "I'm happy with what I have and everything else is icing on the cake" is priceless.
 
You're always so generous Charlie :) We have so many deserving regulars I would like to nominate, people who bring a great deal to our small community. However, I don't think JohnDF JohnDF has a TC Barlow, and I know he doesn't like the lolly-scramble which obtaining GEC knives can often entail these days, so I'd like to nominate him :) Thanks Charlie :thumbsup:

What a fantastic GAW !!! I've never seen such a place where you win for another person. I love the idea and as it's not for me I will play 😁
I will nominate two great friends , RayseM RayseM who opened the road for Sardinia for the Porch. He trusted me and my Sardinian friends without proof and we have built a beautiful friendship since; But I also have to nominate my fellow Alain Jolipapa Jolipapa who introduced me to almost half of the Porch and whose knowledge is incredible .

And thanks to you Charlie, waynorth waynorth , not only for this giveaway, but also for the beautiful knives and generosity you have blessed us with over the years.

I nominate meako meako for his many contributions pro bono publico. I will always remember how he stepped forward and was kind to me during my first few months on the Porch as I figured things out. I probably would have stopped participating had he not reached out to me. Plus he is extremely bright and funny!

In no order, I'd throw Will of Will Power Will Power for his love of squirrels 🐿, Vince aka Prester John Prester John of the Mangetout inc. , btb01 btb01 and his lovely Gangsters, my fellow French Âchillepattada Âchillepattada or meako meako the snake charmer. And I did not give all the names of the many I consider as friends rather than simple pen pals...

traumkommode traumkommode thanks for the nomination and kind words. Got some cool photos last night of a friend's band giving a free concert in a nearby park. Weather was perfect, first outing like that for me since pandemic started.

There have been some fantastic nominations, all worthy. For Memorial Day weekend my nomination goes to Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund , a Gold Star father, an honor no one wants. Grief is the price we pay for love.
