Andrew is an uncanny friend. I say this because my reading of Freud's famous essay is that the uncanny is something SIMULTANEOUSLY foreign and familiar. Throughout my years in this forum, traumkommode traumkommode been a consistent and sincere friend, but I've never met him!

It's a strange sensation. And I'm not the only one who's felt this way about him.

He's always been fair and principled, but also non-judgmental of others. These things don't form by accident in a person. He obviously thinks deeply on what it means to be a good person and acts in it. We are lucky to have that kind of juju on the Porch.

More than once he has gently corrected my mind-set through warm friendship and a quite, but firm example.

A giveaway as cool and generous as a waynorth waynorth soupbone barlow could not go to a more deserving recipient.

I suppose I technically qualify to nominate someone, but having just recently returned from a sabbatical, I'm going to just play the "I've been away" card and sit back and enjoy the festivities ... this is such a great community, it's a good bet that whoever gets it is more than worthy!

Clarification please: I assumed that only ONE nomination is the etiquette ? If we can nominate more , I can think of some in short measure :cool: But one nomination per poster simplifies an already complex process.

That was my assumption as well.
I threw a few more names out as a "shout-out" because I saw a few members that hadn't been mentioned and figured with as much as they do on the Porch that they deserved at least that much. I probably over-stepped. :)
