I got 2 new Infinity 10 inch subs!!!!!

My Civic gets 38 miles a gallon on the highway, about 30 around town.

JAG is what I am trying to get selected for... IF I get selected, I will be going to law school after I get my Masters here in 2 years, or there about. My undergrad is in Criminal Justice. My second choice is Military Police. I fair pretty high on the OML list so I should get my top choice, all things considered.

My Honda got 30 highway, the only time I checked mileage. Some of the other Honda owners called me out (at an online owners club), saying there's no way that car can get 30. The EPA estimate is 26 highway.

But my Lincoln always got much better than the epa estimate too.

That model is only available in 6-speed manual.

I think what kills the mileage on it is the high-revving engine. Cruising down the interstate at 75mph, she's turning at least 4000rpm (the Lincoln cruised at just over 2,000 rpm). Still, I would have though that because of the Honda's incredible light weight that it should do better.

Couple of interesting things about my Honda. It's the only rear-wheel-drive car that Honda makes. It has more horsepower per liter than any other non-turbo car on the planet. It's one of the few Hondas to consistantly earn top quality rankings. And there's no way your Infinity speakers will fit in my trunk. :)

Forgive me if I missed it, what model Honda did you say it was??? My dad had an old old toyota pickup back in the day and it was a 4 banger with 4 gears!!! So pretty much, driving down the interstate in 4th gear (top end gear) was pretty rough on the engine i would guess.... you take your foot off the gas, you slow down considerably.

A Honda S2000. Don't sweat it, no one knows what it is, even after they've seen it. Even other Honda owners.

Oh, the S2000 isn't slow. And running along at 4000 rpm doesn't even make her sweat (redline is 9000rpm), but it does seem to use some gas.

Eh, I knew what you were talking about :D One of the few cars to have over 100hp/liter.
I didn't try one but read quite a few good reviews about it. How's the noise lever at those high rpm?

Bob, I love those! Beautiful ride man! Take her easy on the turns. Or I am sure you have the lo-pro tires for hitting turns hard, yea? ;)

Like an airplane during takeoff. :D

On the road it's not so noticeable, more like a background 'buzz' barely audible over the wind.

It doesn't need any 'thumper' speakers since I don't drive to attract attention to myself. But the stock stereo sucks. You can hardly hear it when on the highway.

I think it still has the stock tires. Car only had 15k miles when I bought it.

JAG is what I am trying to get selected for...

Dang your VTAC aught to come in real handy in that role. Will it fit into your lawyer's briefcase? I bet it will come in real handy during oral arguments. If the judge denys your request to approach the bench, you could breach it! OMG, you would totally p'wn the judge with VTAC!!111BBQ

You could probably get some help from the old security firm or maybe that gunstore you worked for and maybe mount a Chinook or Manix on it. The tactical advantage for cross examining is clear for all to see. If the evidence is overwhelming against your client, don't be afraid to throw your VTAC, it will give you time to come up with a rebuttal or make a great exclaimation point for an objection.

Gee zen, thanks for the advice! :jerkit: Maybe I should sell my VTAC if I get JAG... Dont you think...:jerkit:

Hey Reconseed, I think you should take them Speakers back and get a refund as they haven't shaken your car body off the frame yet, therefor they must be faulty. Oh and M1 wants you to go into infantry or some such as he is looking forward to giving you special instruction, you might as well take a can of Bright red spray paint and paint the front and back of your T-shirts with a big 'S' for special case.

we had a "young adult" with a set of speakers that thumped and he woke up my 70 year old neighbor at 3:00 am... the neighbor took a baseball from his second story deck and beaned the kid in the forhead, knocked the kid cold, then the old man went down and physically yanked the amp and speakers out of the car and dropped them forceably on the ground.

NOw that is a funny story. Beat down by a senoir! :D

   Ahhh so THAT is why M1 wants me to get Infantry!!!!! Now it all makes sense ;)

Hi lizardman_u:

Your elderly neighbor who threw the baseball at the kid and destroyed his property could receive a visit from the local police and be charged with assault, theft, and vandalism simultaneously. That is not the way to handle things and is totally inappropriate for someone who is old and wise enough to know better.

yes he could have, but on the flip side the youth who got beaned could have recieved a visit from the police for disturbing the peace, as well as other charges that I didn't mention as the youth did this a few nights in a row. This was a few years ago and when the PD showed up they took statements and told the kid with the stereo that he needed to change his behavior. I live in a single family dwelling now, but this was a small apartment complex where it happened.

also I wasn't advocating for anything illegal, I know the old man could have been charged with assault, I was just passing on a tale of one mispent youths consequences to the nice subwoofer in public at an inapropriate time. Around here if you want to really use your subwoofer it best be at a car show or other venue as to use them at the volumes commonly heard in larger cities will get the driver of the car a very nice big ticket for disturbing the peace (nice thing about small towns, populations less than 5000).

wow, that is a small town!!!! 5k???? whew... Around here, everyone plays their music loud. I fit in. :grumpy:

And what makes you think anyone else wants to hear what you're playing? If I can't hear my own radio in my truck, with the windows up, over the noise coming from your vehicle; you won't be getting looks of admiration for you 'kickin' bass'...
