I got my Allen Blade knife

Yeedude, dont sit under the mailbox but he just emailed me that he sent your knife.
He also sent what supposedly is his phone number so if anyone needs it just email me.
And of course he accused me of having to hide behind a keyboard:D That's my favorite,LOL.

Has anyone ever gotten a knife from this guy on time? With all the superb makers out there why order from someone like this?????
 
I have not.

He told me he will have some for me in the beginning of this year.
But I don't know when.

I just really want to see Allan get all his back orders dealt with. Joe is the big one. I know he is making an effort to and that is a very good thing.

Keep it up Allan and get Joe taken care of right away. He has been way too long.
 
I edited the post above this one and this one because Allen has convinced me that he is really trying to meet his obligations. I edited because I felt I was wrong, and had gone too far, no other reason.

His original name was Scott Allen Fowler. Just a bit of trivia for anyone that is interested.

Allan once told me the same thing about adding Rob to his list of creditors when he filed for bankrupcy. He seemed to think that it was Rob's tough luck that because he was a business Rob was not going to see a penny. If he still feels that way after what has happened to the Simonich family then I guess that tells everyone what kind of person Allan is.

Maybe he'll yet do the right thing about that situation.
 
Allan says he is looking for funding or a venture capital partner so that he can start up a production company so that he can offer some of his designs on a more production handmade scale. I really hope that whoever is interested in getting together with Allan digs into his past and gets to know all about him. I wonder if Allan will offer full disclosure about what has been going on over the last four years to all those that might be interested in investing in his idea.

Keith i do not want money from anyone for any buisness Venture, it was a Thought i had, and nothing more , maybe a wish, i dont know.

If i want a production company i will do it myself, is this clear?

I never try to hide the mistakes i made over 3 yrs ago, never have never will. Those things I made mistakes on i admit to , and those things that are heresay without proof i refute, wouldnt you?


Simple fact is,, i can get the few people left i have to get caught up with done, and keep making knives to live on, and it wont matter, i will still get bashed, which is ok .

See people on Forums cant just let a person make ammends and move on, people are like a pitbull with a bone .

I am just glad regarding Forgivness that Christ didnt have the same attitude alot of Forum members have, we would all be in trouble.

I am not hiding, nor do i plan to hide my past, its an open book for anyone who ask`s. All i can do is do what i have to do, move on and never repeat the past, which i havent in 3 yrs nor will i.

but i have said this all before over and over again since my past problems and it does no good so i dont even know why i bother anymore . Its about like trying to convince a Mormon they arent a Christian, impossible.

Keith one QUestion,,,, WOuld you admit to anything that was Heresay and not proven fact? i dont think so,,,, I have admitted to those things i was at fault for and have and continue to deny those things i was accused of in PRINT, but were never Proven as fact other than by someone saying it wa true.

Peoples Opinions are like well you know, everyone has one, doesnt mean its fact.

I admit to what i have done and i dont to what i havent done, pretty simple really. Hold that against me forever , its up to you all.

Allan, you are right, I have had a hard time letting you live down your past. When Joe and whomever else you owe knives to get what they are owed I will certainly back off. It's great to see that you really do have a desire to make things right and that you are doing as much as possible to straighten things out. Good on yo bro, keep it up.

By the way, that Field Puukko is a great looking knife.
 
A couple of years ago, four of us were trail riding in the Idaho mountains. We came upon a small lodge that had food for sale. We ordered burgers and drinks and sat down on the deck. The owner brought our food and I guess he was lonely because he sat down with us and started a joke with the words, "Do you know why Mormons...? I told him that if he finished that joke, the two of us who were members of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" might be somewhat offended. He apologized when he realized he had just tried to tell a joke without considering his audience. It appears to have happened again.

I read yor post and reread Allen's. I fail to see where the joke was. You may disagree with what he said, but his comment wasn't a joke as far as I could see.

As far as the point of this post goes, I've had my problems with Allen. They are well documented here and anyone could easily find them if they were bored enough and had no life.

I've hashed out my personal differences with the man on this subject a while back. I told him as long as he continued to catch up those he owed and stopped the lies, I would no longer bash his name on these forums.

From what I have seen, he appearts to be doing just that. He's catching up on some of his backlog and others have been giving reports of getting knives from him in descent time.

I really hate all the crap that happened with Allen over the years. He is very talented and make amazing pieces for the price. He shot himself in the foot, and is now trying to stop the bleeding.

It's a shame his reputation is almost permenately ruined with lots of folks. He seems to be trying to work on that as fast as time/money allows. I really hope he has changed and is walking the right path in his life and business. Maybe some day his reputation can be repaired. time will tell.

Bruce, have you heard any jokes about the Irish or East Indians or Catholic priests. I don't think Mormons should be exempted from having jokes told about them any more than anyone else. A friend of mine is a lawyer and he tells the best lawyer jokes you are likely to ever hear, but I guess some people are more able to handle that kind of thing than others. However, in this case I don't think that Allan was joking. It looks to me like he meant what he said, but I could most definitely be wrong about that.
 
While I don't really have a dog in this fight, I'll chime in anyways. I was one of the many that had waited on their knife from Allan for a great while (approx. 3 years!). A few months back Allan contacted me out of the blue and offered to make the knife I desired. I passed at that time but later contacted him about making another model. A price was agreed, a timeframe set and the knife was delivered nearly on time (it was also of very good quality and great value IMO). I also finally ordered the knife I had wanted and the same set of criteria were met promptly. Allan told me he was working on getting his backlog cleared and just needed to make some knives in the meantime to keep a positive cashflow. He appears to be living up to this.

I have dealt with Joe and know he is good people, I sure hope he gets his knives soon and is happy with them. I am in no way approving of what has happened in the past, but maybe in some small way maybe I have helped those who have waited to finally get their knives. I mailed checks to Allan twice knowing that I could be next to be screwed, but I wasn't. I also have not heard anything from the many others who have dealt with him in the last 6 months. Maybe, just maybe there is a little sunshine peeking through the clouds. I for one surely hope so.

Hope I can receive ALL of my knives soon then we can leave all of this behind.

Jeremy, you're right, it wasn't a joke. My point is that sometimes people say things thinking no one around them might be offended. Many people think the only Mormons around are those two young men riding bicycles around their community, or that all Mormons live in Utah. Everyone of you reading this post knows a Mormon and is known by one or more. In fact, I know that at least one other poster in this thread is a Mormon!

Keith, I know a few jokes about my faith also, but when the jokes are built upon false impressions, damage is done. Neither Allan or the jokester in Idaho mentioned any other faith, race, profession, or gender -- only one. The issue here is poor judgement to single out an individual organization, regardless of which one it is. Perhaps you have no strong beliefs.
 
I know this is getting way off topic, but just to answer Bruce; I do have a few strong beliefs. I am also able to take jokes about those strong beliefs. However, these beliefs are not based on religion and that may be the reason that I don't take them so seriously. It seems that when it comes to religion peoples sense of humour quite often goes out the window.
