I got my March 2011 Buck Newsletter

If you haven't got the March Buck Newsletter yet, it is now on-line at the Buck Collectors Club site. They also have the 2011 catalog on-line. Cool.:)

Kind of fun watching them sweep across the nation from west to east.

:D

Hope you Easterners finally get yours today.

Well.......at least by tomorrow, then.

:)

Small price to pay for a great location.

Wow I guess my taste don't fit the current BKI marketing line up:(. All I can say is that I'm very disapointed in the fact that there is no LE section in the catalog at all this year. They do have the B&C flyer....but, that is not the same for me and that line up just missed the mark for me.

Ebay and the older LE's here I come!

My catalog came today and they have a 2011 Legacy Collection supplement of LEs, not just the B&Cs. I like the Damascus Paul Bos Paradigm. A stacked leather woodsman. Lots of interesting things, I think.

So what's the must have knife in this issue?

There are no new offerings in the newsletter, just a last chance offer for the FG 500 Duke.

The special projects list gives a grass-green BCCI paperstone 110 and 112 which I have not seen. Maybe that became the green canvas micarta heritage 110 & 112.

Yahoo, finally got it!:D

How bout that Bos Paradigm with the damascus blade:cool::thumbup:-anybody got $500 to spare;)

I appreciate knowing that the newsletter is available on-line, however, I can't take my computer to my coffee club in the morning. Besides, I'm a hard copy kind of guy. East or west doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm still waiting...............I think my pin fell off the map.

What did you guys do????

Did you get somebody mad at you????

:D

Well, they'll probably come today.

In the meantime, Rudder......better move your coffee club to a place with wireless and take your laptop.

:)

Old offerings, the remaining Heritage knives made for the SMR from the October 2010 newsletter (3rd page from last), are being vended on ebay by capable and erudite Bruce Dollinger.

He was kind enough to set me up with a special price on a 532 via paypal(S30V blade steel and canvas micarta scales)! How did I miss this the first time around. My first bucklock.

Now I understand why ViperBruce has such good access to club knives. Great Idea!!! I think that more money on average can be made selling on eBay than the original ask price.

If club knives are still sitting around after six months, I say move 'em out on eBay.:thumbup::thumbup:

The priority is to keep the club financially solvent. In the end, that's good for all of us.

I seem to vaguely recall seeing somewhere that the "Limited Edition" terminology was to be replaced by "Legacy Collection." Does that ring a bell for anyone else??
