I had a bad accident/almost died/please read

Smoke and prayers headed your way from NoVa.

Very glad you made it through. Hope the pain ends soon and your sight fully returns.

Well from what "they" say most accidents happen less than 10 miles from the home....Or is it 5 miles, anyway, I guess it's because like you've proven, when you're in that range you're very comfortable with what's around you. And you think since it's not far not much can happen.

It's not to often a person gets to cheat the reaper. Remember if it does not kill you, it makes you stronger. God bless and get well.

Thank God you are alive. I hope you heal quickly. I just got home from visiting a friend whose wife died 48 hours ago in a head-on collision. Life is very precious and can change in an instant.

Jesus, Markez...That sounds horrible. Glad you're OK. I say OK, because after all that, you seem to have come out pretty good.

Damn your lucky!!!! Get well fast and a good reminder for us all to wear seat belts.

Prayers sent. Thank God you made it.

I am so glad that you are (mostly) OK. You are a lucky son of a gun! I have been laughed at for buckling up when just moving the car in the driveway. Well, let them laugh. Anything can, and will, happen. I wish you a speedy and full recovery

The post office did a study of our vehicle accidents in New York City. The most common circumstance was a driver with a good safety record on his regular route after lunch. Confident, familiar with the road, and relaxed. Boom.

Or as we used to remind each other: Be alert! (The world needs more lerts.)

Thank god your ok, rest, relax and be with the family!

I hit a tree (black ice) going 70MPH in my VW Jetta, tore the car apart and left me sitting in my seat in the road with a little portion of the car with me. nothing broken and no cuts of any kind. after about 5 hours in the ER they sent me home. the next day I woke and couldn't even move. every single muscle felt torn and joints felt dis-located. everything well 4 weeks later.

Very happy to hear your well considering.

Thank God you're still alive and although it probably doesn't feel like it right now, relatively minor injuries considering what could have happened. Either God saved you or you're one lucky guy, but either way, don't tempt it again please. I'm praying for you to get better quickly.

Marek I just saw this thread. Looks like you are going to be sore for a while. I'm glad you are going to be ok. Your son was probably scared for you, not scared of you. Big, Big difference. I'll pray for a speedy and complete recovery.
