I had a bad accident/almost died/please read

Hot damn Marekz,

You one lucky s.o.b.! No seat belt, hydro planing, flip your truck three times and...not only do you come out alive, you still got all your pieces!!! You got some mighty powerful thanking and give-backing to do bro.

So what happened? Safety belt aside, how'd you end up in such a predicament anyway? Were you just tired? Speeding? Daydreaming? On your mobile phone? Under the influence? Bad tires? Truck have a mechanical failure? Or just a plain old patch of bad luck????

Be cool. Take it easy. And, especially right now while you're healing, treat your body and the breath that abides in it, like the sacred temple that it is...on loan to you from the profound mysteries of the earth and the cosmos. Don't send it back before it's time. You got a little one that needs you (all of you)!

Thanks for posting friend.

Aloha from Hawaii, Phil

Thank God it wasn't worse, Marek. Heal up quick! Prayers sent for your speedy recovery.

Vertical and taking nourishment is a good way to be! Thank God you're alive.

Prayers sent for a speedy recovery and gentle subconscious "nudge" next time you forget that seatbelt.;):)

Sending smoke from the Boreal forest for a speedy recovery. Seatbelts are great things, though not always convenient.

I lost a good friend because he didn't wear his seat belt and was in a hurry. In short, when his Honda civic flipped, he was thrown halfway out through the passenger door window, and was suffocated by the weight of the roof of the car resting on his chest. Being a lonely highway at night, he died a slow suffocating death until somebody saw the dimming tail lights off in the ditch.

YEAH! Always wear your seatbelt!!! The occasional story you here from time to time that goes something to the effect of "...and if he would've been wearing his seatbelt, he wouldn't have been ejected from the vehicle and the guard rail would have cut him in half", is no excuse not to wear your seatbelt!
Trust me on this. You get ejected, you're dead. (90% of the time.)
(O.K., I'll get off my soapbox now.)

:rolleyes:Good to see you posting.:) Hope everything feels a bit better today.

And remember ... use those safety belts. (Sorry, but after about 3 decades in the military, you sort of become a Safety Nazi.:o)

Now's the time to think about all the good things in your life. I believe they will give you the strength to come back and faster too. What a terrible accident !!!! I too will say a prayer or two for your fast recovery. Frank

Man, I'm glad you're ok, well sort'a ok. At least your alive, not paralized, or in any other terrible state. Hang in there, heal, and look forward to seeing your posts and work for many more years. Take care, bro.

Dave

Praise God you're ok. You got knives to make, and more importantly, a family to raise.

I've been there and done that, and like TKAZ, I felt every muscle in my body screaming in pain for a couple of days after. I was 17 and drove a pickup into a ditch on a dirt road going 85 mph. I jumped the ditch, turned over in the air, and landed upside down. The cab of the truck folded backwards, and I ended up upside down with the truck resting on my head when I woke up. Luckily, some farm hands found me. They used a bottle jack to lift the truck up and tore the door off to get me out. I walked away with a really bad concussion, some scrapes, and amnesia. Luckily it was only the couple of hours preceding and up to the accident that got lost and bits and pieces came back later on. I had bruises on my temples so bad that they scabbed a few days later, and the top half of both of my ears were solid dark purple from being crushed by the truck.

Glad to hear you're ok. The Lord has something left for you to do, my friend.

Im glad your alive, I was a back seat passenger in a truck rollover 5 years ago Im heading for my 4th major spine sugery in the next 4 to 6 weeks . I was wearing my seat belt or I would be dead . kellyw

Hey, Marek. If that vomitting, dizziness, etc. keeps up, you want to go back and get checked out. You got your bell rung pretty hard, and you need to be careful of swelling in the brain. I dry heaved for 3 hours after my wreck from the concussion, and they had my parents stay in my room at night for a couple of nights to make sure I didn't get worse at night.

I'm glad you made it, Marek. Take care of yourself.

well im still feling rough. im dizzy at times, diorientd, been vomiting a bit, my swelled over, but im feeling a bit better. i keep going over spinning and bouncing in that truck, its a traumatic deal. i keep thinking if there was something ive could have done different but there was no room or time to compensate. sometimes it feels like im walking in a dream and im losing my footing--sorta like an earthquake--then i need to hold on to something. ifeel better one minute- then the next im on the couch trying to keep the romm from spinning. my back and my neck muscles feel like than can barely support my head. thanks for sharing youallsis stories. again thanks fellas-mark/marekz

Yeah that really sounds like a concussion, take it form someone that knows. I have had 7 now, well spaced apart and not too bad so not too much permanent damage. What you are describing are classic signs. It could just be you dealing with what could have happened, but I would head back and get checked ASAP if I were you.
