I have since sold off my Slim #8 models, but have a really nice Slim #10 Olivewood that is just perfect for food, slices up a subway sandwich cleanly, makes it a lot easier to eat sections

I may have to pick one up. I had to cut a gyro in half at the local fair on Saturday and got a bunch of crud in the pivot. Was thinking I needed something longer for that duty. It's that or the Portuguese Opinel-like knife. I forget the name, starts with an N... Has a really interesting shape.

That's pretty cool too !

If you get one, I put some fluorinated grease down into the pivot area and on the wood, to help prevent the wood from swelling, that's one of the drawbacks of this knife, otherwise, they're great !

A safer way to proceed, get the wife to like them as much as you. Then she can do the shopping and you can just sit back and enjoy what shows up in the mail. :thumbup:
