I have a CRK with lock rock.

Too many questions to answer them all right now. Here are a few though. Its always been my knife not a customers, I never did a blade swap, the blasting was done by Reeve, the lockbar slowly went over, once it hit about half way the lock started moving over faster. I don't know if a couple posters were kidding, about it's not lock rock. If I shake the knife up and down, it is rock lock. You can hear it undeniably. I think madmath is closest. It feels like the ti is soft compared to others I have had. And no, I never hammered the spine with anything. Have to go for now. Will check back in a couple days. Have a happy and safe 4th!

I emailed Chris about this thread, so I expect a response probably next week.
I have decided to send it back in.

I don't think you know what lock rock is.

Eh, it's fine. Mine can be flat on a table and the blade does a 90* turn upright from the pivot. The lock still engages though. Lol. Is the stop pin mis shapen or bent? Maybe the blade tang was filed or the lock bar got worn out through the titanium?

The stop pin is fine. I even installed a new one. The face of the lock bar is indented in a small area. Makes no sense to me as no one else has used the knife, but me. Oh well, at least its not lock rock. :)

There's really nothing to be made about this. There's obviously a problem. CRKs do not come like that. Send it in, and they will fix it. That's all there is to it.

Exactly, this video was made for moxy. Who didn't believe there could be any rock lock on a sebenza.

Now I've got a tripton telling me he doesn't think I know what rock lock is.
I've been on bladeforums since 98' member since 99' and I knew what lock rock was before then.

In closing arguments I must say, you can not refute any of my statements and be correct. Last post in this thread :)

Last post for you? What was the point of posting this then? To NOT discuss it?

Lock rock and a lock that has been worn out after years of reliable service are two different things.

This is a worn out lock. There's no doubt in my mind that this knife has had a hard life those 7 years the OP has owned it.

Send it in under warranty and let us know what Chris says about the knife.

End of story.

What name were you here under back in 99 ? You have only been a member here since 2012 with your "sothernknives" account ?

Is there any particular reason you don't show the stop pin in your video ? I presume it's because you removed the sleeve to get the play you were looking for ? It is just not possible to get that sort of play from just a worn lock face, there is simply not that much room. Removing or doctoring the stop pin sleeve would do that though, you even admit to replacing it your self. I can't wait to hear what Chris has to say when you send it in.....

Edit: Anybody that is inclined to check will notice that removing the stop pin sleeve produces the exact results we see in the video. This is a pretty clear and obvious troll attempt. Don't get sucked in here guys. :)

Just watched the video and made the same observation as Haze. I kept waiting to see a shot of the stop pin but there isn't one. Smells fishy

I'd assumed the sleeve was missing, too. Smells like trolling.

I have a video of me trolling. It's posted on YouTube under stop pin small sebenza. Crazy trolls.:)

I don't like arguing about knives, it distracts from my knife enjoyment. So I posted another video showing the stop pin.

Enjoy guys...:thumbup::)

Just post the vid here if you have it, I'm not doing any leg work. Any way, I think you should just send that knife back to CRK like you said you would and we will see what comes of it.
