I have a CRK with lock rock.

The OP is obviously a troll. Responding keeps it going.

Just give it up, southernknives...you don't stand a chance. Gotta' know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em ;) . The flow here has been reversed and it's not coming back!

One way it could go from a perfect knife to THAT would involve a train.
Imho, even a $17 CRKT frame lock Drifter would not incur that much damage from just hard use.

Exactly !
A thread like this should never be started before contacting the manufacturer.

I don't see how someone that has been here since 1999 wouldn't know this

Why didn't you just ask for a name change and keep your original join date and post count ?

Also, were you at Blade this year, and are you friends with a fellow BF member/ Youtuber that was at Blade this year ?

Never been to the blade show.

I've never been to blade. Were they people talking about the same problem?

This is not an issue with CR knives. This is an issue with your particular knife. Like others have said - send it in. If your expecting some other outcome on this thread - I don't think your going to get it.

While I admit this thread is likely a useless troll thread, I will also admit that I do kinda enjoy reading it for amusement and to kill time. I mean, who doesn't like a good conspiracy theory/mystery/thriller?

Here's a link to the video.

That knife looks right messed up. IMO it was Highly abused or someone modded the lock face. Either way it never left the factory that way. lol
To the OP, send the knife in and tell us what Chris Reeve says about it...

If I where to get a Ferrari and go 80 mph and throw it in reverse and hit the gas couple dozen times till something failed, like the transmission. But I won't let anyone know I did that.
I'll just make a video about how this car failed in the transmission area.
Every single knife has a point of failure, this guy never shows anyone what he did to it?
I don't buy it, im still buying a sebenza. Period

My original user name was either, salamander or treefrog.
I have done many searches, even in the archives, but all I get is other salamanders.

Hopefully someone can help me find it.
Thanks, Jeff

Southern knives,

If you are truly looking for a diagnosis of the problem, I think we can end all of this rather quickly.

Please post photos or preferably a video showing the knife disassembled. Focus on the lock bar and locking surfaces of the blade (area which interfaces with the lock bar and stop pin). En reassemble the knife and demonstrate the loose blade. I think the issues will be easily observable, and a proper diagnosis of the problem can be made. This will show if you have abused the knife, or if it is a defect.

If you are not looking for a diagnosis of the problem, it seems you are just trolling.

The option is yours.

Pretty sure CRK let it out of the factory that way. My sebenza had to be welded due to the blade movement. I think this guy is just trying to get a rise out of us, there's no way crk would let that slip out, nor would they have sent it back like that. Just do us all a favor and take some detailed shots to put our curiosity at ease, then either be an active contributing member here, or find another forum. I'm not a fanboy nor do I run to the rescue of other makers, but when you sit here and blatantly lie to people and make someone's business look bad for no reason, it's asking for trouble.

Seems you should read the whole thread. I complement CRK, make it clear they make works of art. I also state it did not come from Reeve like that. Please read posts before posting.

And I have not lied anywhere in the thread. Please tell me where? You can't.
