I have some custom micarta....someone want to use it?

I was lucky enough to get a few pieces of custom micarta made by a forum member. I can not use it for jobs I have on order and wont be able to mess with it for some time. The maker wants some fast feedback so I thought I'd ask if anyone wants to try it out.

The agreement is that it will be used pretty fast and pictures will be posted.
Please dont ask for any if you cant post pictures or have it used within a few weeks. I only have about 4 pieces I think.........I'll have to check again to see what I was sent. Its is 1 1/4" wide and variuos colors. I'll post more later if anyone is interested.

I'm interested and I have a small blade ready for handles today. I was just going to use some black micarta and red spacer, but some custom stuff could really set it off! Whatchagot?
 
it will take some sanding to get each side flat, then ground flat and square on the other side but may be worth the time it takes to clean the squarness up because there rough sawn on a table saw. What do you think?

Hey there, I 'm the guy that made it and sent to Brian for evaluation.
sizes are roughly 11 x 1-1/4 x (1/4 to 3/8)

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask

left to right:
shredded blue paper
four color fabric (green, brown, tan, grey) rolled and twisted
blue speckled
green and black twist

Here is a pic of what I sent Brian

They are a bit rough...as I learn the needs of my customers and improve my techniques and tools they will improve. I am in need of some good, honest criticism at this point. That, and some less primitive tools.:)

im up for it if you can spare it i like tring other ppls "mycarta" helps me see what other stuff i need to do

Brian, Can I try the light blue? I have some dark blue spacer that would really look nice with it.

i find it easer to use a larger wood bandsaw to rip the large blocks i make into scale form got a delta 10 or 12 inch cant remember now but works well

On the other hand, we're pretty much next-door neighbors... if you're after feeback on Bladeforums, maybe it would make more sense for me to get a piece from you in person than to have Brian mail it up here?

Any left? I have a bunch of blanks that are ready that I'd like to try micarta on. I've never used micarta, but the stuff looks really cool (<<<cool is a technical term). If you have a piece left I'd be honored to be a guinea pig.
