Works for me - leaves more available. CKF makes FANTASTIC knives, some of my favorites. Their latest offerings, such as the Kadat, are amazing. Think I'll order another one now.

I'm normally not in favor of cut out handles/scales as I find them uncomfortable for hard work.

I really like the look of this knife except for the hole in the blade. There does not appear to be enough of a cutout on the top scale to use the hole to open the knife. Other than that I like it.

I'm pretty sure Kevin John has nothing to do with CKF.
They are pretty open and honest about it. But besides that the markup is huge on them because of that.

I have a ckf sokohi2.0 and I like it. I don't much like most of the other styles and I do like alot of custom Russian makers. Just not the majority from ckf. The action on the majority of them is nice if not great. That and the huge prices your paying for Chinese manufacturering of Russian designs. But hey they are in the business of making money. So not a big problem for most.

Kevin John’s original design knives are actually quite expensive. They can be all the way up to just shy of 400$. I actually know someone who bought one and he says the knife has outstanding construction, easily as good as his Reates and other high end knives.

So Kevin John doing the manufacturing for CKF isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If anything it is good that he has moved away from making clones. What’s funny is there are actually clones of Kevin John's clones now. Other clone makers are trying to capitalize on his reputation for quality.

I in no way support cloning. I think Kevin John finding business outside of cloning is a good thing since it removes some of the highest quality clones from the market.

OMG, stop it. My switch was flipped...$#%@!

As for who is producing the knives, I could care less. CKF has treated me fantastic and has went above and beyond to win my business.

Not only did I receive an exceptional knife in both quality of materials and craftsmanship, but I received a pouch, cloth, extra clip/hardware/and backspacer in a well packaged box sent straight from Russia, quickly I might add. Oh, and chocolate!

I believe it states that the knives are manufactured in both China and Russia on their website, so it isn't as if this is new/hidden information.

If they happen to be produced by a clone-maker, I'm happy that hes been commissioned to do some legitimate and respectable work and hopefully will stop producing clones all together.

CFK/FRWK are both GTG companies in my opinion and I wouldn't hesitate to purchased from them again.

Ok so ckf knives are overpriced? What should this one cost then?

This is the same drivel I see spewed by the same sources again and again. You'd be hard pressed to justify ANY production knife over $150, period. I could name, off-hand, a dozen companies I believe to be a lesser value priced roughly the same as CKF.

These knives are top-notch and if people are willing to pay for them, which they are, then they must be doing something right. In fact, if you purchase directly from FRWK (the retail side of CKF) you'd find that they offer fantastic coupon codes that will shave a considerable chunk off of the total price.

If you don't have anything legitimate to add, I believe there's a place created for such whiney comments, yeah?

What does FRWK stand for?

I'm just trying to understand what people think this knife should cost. The price does not seem that far off when compared to other knives in the same price range. I don't know that much about CKF or Kevin John so just trying to get a complete picture
