My pops is sending me more teaser pictures. This means he must be working on my old jeep project I had to leave back "home" when I moved to the city.

Man, they don't make them like they used to. This is the embossing on the side of the toolbox under the passenger seat.
I desperately want to take a week off and go down there and work on it so bad. He deserves something pretty good this father's day.

My cousin just posted a picture of his car being winched onto a flatbed truck to be taken to a mechanic to get a new serpentine belt put on. A 10-30 minute job is going to cost him hundreds of $$.

But same here. It was fun growing up where I did. My dad started restoring vintage military and civilian trucks and jeeps when I was young. He eventually went full time doing that out of the shop behind the house. There were always fun things to play with and wrench on around the place.

Im here enough to know who posts in these threads regularly and who doesnt, anyone i consider a normal snarker is in. I wont really even be adding up the posts unless its someone we barely or never see here.

Everyone who has been here and dealt with my massive amount of snarking is in even if they miss the 10 posts. So dont worry guys you wont miss out on your chance at seeing a special crotch shot

I keep meaning to buy a mosin......I should really get after that and some cheap ammo.

Ammo won't be cheap unless you get that corrosive surplus stuff. I only shoot non-corrosive so I don't have to worry about cleaning it right away.

bigghoss; go for a scope kit on the mosin on an Archangle stock :thumbup:

I had considered it. The detachable mags were a plus to me since repro stripper clips are junk. But part of the appeal is the history of the thing. Plus the M44's like I have look kinda goofy in those stocks with the bayonet on the side.

Yep!! I have seen all of it so far, pretty good show.

I'm actually glad I have been practicing/working on learning cars. The new cars aren't really like the old cars cause EVERYTHING is electric. Pisses me off cause my OLD car (1988 Lincoln Towncar with a 5.0) you could do everything on there with a couple wrenches, couple sockets, and a couple screwdrivers!

Welp, in Texas now...

Flew from Denver to Seattle a couple days ago, had a day there, and then flew from Seattle back to Denver to Houston. Here for 3 days, then back to Seattle.

Got evenings free-ish. Any 'Heads in the area?

I'm only about 210 miles from downtown Houston, only about 25% of the state between here and there.

Trust me, most people probably don't even remember it. Hell I REALLY put my foot in my mouth last year. Couple apologies (couple infractions) and it was forgiven and forgotten. (Maybe it wasn't really forgotten but it at least doesn't get thrown in my face.)
