To be fair... Me snarking has nothing to do with the giveaway... I snark away anyway.

To be fair, I normally do not snark this much, the contest is coincidental to my snarking. I just felt like talking to you guys, and not having to wait 12 hours for a response is refreshing.

I picked up a bottle of 10 YO highland single malt under $23 this weekend - it's pretty bland, but may work out for homemade Drambuie.
got it at some trendy, hipster grocery store with the initials T J's.
they also had tawny port under $10.

I actually like trendy hipster grocery stores.....sometimes

me, too - they have pretty decent dark chocolate, some low cost, yet tasty beer, and a fair selection of central asian food -- including prepackaged "just add cooked rice" entrees under $2.

I'm familiar with said trendy, hipster grocery store.
Did you pick up any 2 Buck Chuck??
For a $2 bottle of wine, I never see any hobos in there buying it...makes one wonder...

And usually the chicks who frequent the stores are hotter.....and thinner. LOL

SWMBO is not a fan of wine - so, no.
besides the 2 buck chuck is no longer $2 -- or even $2.99 -- it went up again...

Same here. I've known people who don't even know how to pop the hood on their cars. And then other people who think they know how to work on cars, then screw things up big time. Like c-bear said though, new cars are a pain in the ass sometimes.
They really are! Man I miss that car. My aunt wrecked her car and didn't have a car anymore so my mom sold her my car for $300... Which I didn't EVEN GET!

Easiest frickin' car to work on! To do something in the engine bay I could actually sit on the engine! There it is next to my Grand Prix.

Freakin computer keeps shutting down on me. I think it's overheating. This 12 inch laptop screen sucks.
Take it off your lap!

Not saying YOUR lap is hot, just saying if you get a plank of something under it and it will breathe better and not shut down (hopefully) as often. With my desktop I upgraded the case and put in two 120mm fans in the back and another one on the side so air circulates pretty well in there. Plus I keep it in the room that I keep coldest... :D

Hey, I shop there... occasionally. The tamales that they have there frozen are pretty yummy. PLUS their bacon end cuts is pretty good for frying up and using in potatoes and such.

Well, free to snark away. I am in and out. More out than in but I'll pop back in so you don't need to wait 12 hours.

It's my home PC that's getting hot. I'm just complaining about the size of the small screen on my laptop.

OHHHH! Yeah... small laptops SUCK! When I used to have a netbook I just ran an HDMI output from it to the TV. :p Now I just use the laptop while in bed (17" ) and then I have my PC hooked up to a 55" TV... makes streaming movies and TV pretty nice.

I didn't word it too well. This laptop is an HP TouchSmart, and has cool features, but a small screen. My father in law bought it for me, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

Does it have a video output slot? Either HDMI or even an S-Video or VGA port? Cause then you could use the screen on your TV and the keyboard on the laptop.

Yeah, it does. It's this one:

Hook it up to the other computer's monitor and you'd be golden then. Get to use your regular screen just on the laptop's keyboard.

I could. I just hit ctrl+ a few times, and made the print larger. My eyes suck for the close up stuff.

We used to run laptops like this all the time. Hooking keyboards and big monitors to the laptop transformed them into pretty damn good desktops.

I used to do it with a Netbook. While it wasn't ideal it worked! Now I don't do it AS OFTEN, however when I am doing a LOT of paperwork I will still dual monitor my laptop so I can have all the windows open that I need.

Dang a new snark! So I finally got some wood I've been trying to get for awhile. I have about a 3' piece. What do ya'll think of this Damascuwood?
That wood i extremely nice 710, what kind of oil did you use?
