I used to have insanely good vision. It was something bizarre like 20/10.
I would piss off my wife by reading signs way off in the distance and then say "What? You can't read that?"
Distance vision is still pretty good, but alas, I have succumbed to the need for readers.
I buy the four packs at Sam's Club for $20. Much better quality readers than the dime store stuff.
Except for the wisdom part, getting old sucks.

I just turned 40 in feb. Not that 40 is really old but its no spring chicken. 36 was a turning point for or me when I started to feel different and'm notice I was starting to not do things quite as well as I did when I was younger. Also, just this year ive started to notice my hearing and vision isnt what it used to be either. Im hoping this self employment thing will whip me back into shape a little. Im working harder and sleeping better. So, theres two things that are promising.

Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
It's what my Real father told me the last time I saw him almost 13 years go and it stuck with me ever since.

My vision is still 20/15.... Colors are a different story though.

Vision is great, but i do have my own issues LMAO

It's my home PC that's getting hot. I'm just complaining about the size of the small screen on my laptop.

If you haven't already, consider pulling the case off and seeing if there is a bunch of dust on the cpu and fan. If there is vacuum them off. When ours starts acting up, doing that goes a long way toward improving performance.

You can turn it around. Since I've been running and, more recently, working out with a trainer, I have improved my strength, balance, range of motion, etc.
As far as vision and hearing, there is help!!!

Most weekdays i have the kids bud, i can check with the wife and see when she has time off so i can leave during the week for those 2 days though.

On another note, since i was asked to post a video cutting through a water bottle i did..... Not too difficult though, if he asked me to cut through 5 or 10 i would of had a lot more trouble LMAO

I want to see you cut that giant bottle of fabric softener in the back ground. ;)

Welp, in Texas now...

Flew from Denver to Seattle a couple days ago, had a day there, and then flew from Seattle back to Denver to Houston. Here for 3 days, then back to Seattle.

Got evenings free-ish. Any 'Heads in the area?

I am about 3 1/2 - 4 hours away depending on traffic. Don't think I can make it this time, lol.

Scouting is great. A lot depends on the Troop of course. My son's Troop was very active. They camped out all year long and did a lot of hiking. He enjoyed it so much that he stayed in and became an Eagle Scout.

I stayed in Scouts in high school. We did a camp out every month. Got to go water skiing in the summer. It was great. We had like 5 football players in our troop too so we didn't get much flack either, lol.

This afternoon I started 2 five gallon batches of blackberry wine and 1 five gallon batch of blackberry melomel. Be ready for drinking in about 14 months.

Now, I'm waiting on the Mustang grapes to ripen here in the next week or two to start this year's vintage. And a buddy of mine had a bumper crop of strawberries this year and he's supposed to have 10 - 15 gallons of berries frozen for me. :D:D:D:D:D

When I was a kid we would make jelly from wild mustang grapes that grew on the ranch. Wine from them sounds pretty awesome!

May need to pop the side panel and blow the dust out of it.. I used to have a box fan stuck to the side of my open case in my gaming days. I was running an overclocked processor and video card and that was the only way it would not shut down.

Harumph, harumph.. I even have the old man lanyard to hang a pair around my neck at work..

Still trying to get them to ship some of that Ka Bar beer to Texas.. We need to do a Beckerhead Beer Exchange..

pre-jimped!

Within an inch of its life!

We should team up. My visual acuity is awful but my color vision is literally off the charts. When I took the color-blindness test for the armed forces physical the guy administering it was stunned... "You're not supposed to be able to see that, dude. They just put those in there as a control..."

Warning... coarse language ahead... well, for some of you anyway... the rest of you, don't worry about it, everything's fine.

:D

I like yours better, had no clue there was a Ka-Bar Ale.

They had a bunch labeled up last year. It was actually pretty dang good, too.
