A friend of my Dad's once won an engineering trophy at Iola for squeezing a 428 Cobra Jet into the backseat of an early 70's Mach I. It was basically useless on the 1/4 mile though, since A) it wanted to stand straight up nose-in-the-air as soon as he hammered the throttle, and B) since he didn't have posi or wheelies bars on it, he dang near twisted the frame like a pretzel. According to him, driving 350+ horsepower on one wheel without being able to see where you were going, much less steer, was not as much fun as it sounds.

Also, going for a ride around town in it (I only had the guts to try it once) made you seriously feel like you were about to get sucked into the carb while going completely deaf... sort of like perching on the front end of a jet engine. It sure looked cool, though :D

Well, today started out rough. I leave for Blade tomorrow morning. Last night working in the the shop I got a metal shaving in my eye despite wearing eye protection. Needless to say was in pain all night and didint sleep a wink. Today, had to go to eye specialist to get the shit out. The Doc said it was a millimeter and a half deep and didnt know if she could dig it out. But, she tried mind you so now my left eye is all f$#!ed up. Still work to do, three M-18s to finish tonigh with one eye. Lol. Guess, it would be boring if it was easy. However I do have a little saving grace. Eric (1066VIK) is working my table with us this year. Spoke to him on the phone this morning. Instead of meeting me in Atlanta, he is driving here tonight and gonna help my gimped ass finish my projects. What a guy. Its gonna be tight, but im gonna make it............... I think.

Damn thats rough Todd!! Hope the eye heals up well and you have enough fun during the next week and half to make it all worth it.

I seriously had a dream where I sharpened the RD4 past expectations and you put it's scales back on LOL

I know a mm and a half doesn't sound deep but DAMN man! Looks like it's time to get some of those goofy goggles! Hope it works out man! Good on Erik too! Not just the working the table part, but the coming out early part too... Plus, your table is DEFINITELY not going to get (...)ed with! Good lord! You AND Erik there... yeah... NO!

I had a dream Jihad Pm'd me telling me he was sick of me nagging him so he was just going to slap some G-10 on the 16 and send it my way....unfinished....:(

I woke up and actually checked my inbox to see if it was real....:confused:
