I m new fan of Buck knifes.

Dear jb4570 ,
My dictionary names this animal as the Elk. But I m not sure that. Maybe "moose" is American version of word "Elk".
.

garryale,

here is what we call elk

Smaller than moose but still a big hunk of meat:thumbup:

would you call that a stag?

You are right.
The cartridge 7, 62 х 54 R is a bit weaker than the American 30-06 cartridge.
But too it is good for hunting for the big game.

Yes it is good pieces of meat.:D
My dictionary names this animal a deer.

It is difficulties of translate.:thumbdn:
But it is no difficulty of mutual understanding.:D

Have you contacted Buck Knives to see if they ship to Russia. If so, you could have them build a custom 110 with S30V. It wouldn't be the Alaskan Guide with the aluminum titanium nitride coating, but it would be a great personalized knife for prices starting at $86 before shipping.

Here is the link. It takes a few minutes to load the interactive screen.

Thank you for the link.
I will try to find out this questions.
Any folders knives are absolutely legal at sending to Russia, with them there are no problems.

:) I wonder what the postage to Russia would be for a 334dave decoder ring? We may have to send one to garryale.

Sorry, I dont understand following words at forums : -" ya "- and - "WTF"

I suppose Wapiti would REALLY mess things up!!

:D

Garryale,

The American Elk is cousin to the European Red Deer or Red Stag.
Yes the American Moose is the largest member of the Deer family but we don't call it a deer. :)

I'll send you a email on WTF but it is an ancroynm used express disbelief, displeasure, or sometimes surprise.

Nice picture of your moose.

Wapiti (Cervus elaphus canadensis)

Welcome Garryale, nice photos and details about your Bucks, rifle and hunting. The dog too. Always great to see and hear about other parts of the world.

That's Roxie. She is a mixed breed that we got from the Humane Society. She was brought in as a stray. Best guess is Rottweiler and Labrador. I'm pretty sure that's correct as I've had a Rotti/Lab before and her personality is almost exactly the same as is her appearance (body & head shape). But in the end we can only guess.

Heres the rest of the Gang: Me, Roxie, Bud (Rat Terrier), and Rusty

Very seriously looks the dog on an avatar.
Probably this dog is necessary to you not for riches protection.
Probably it is a dog as the friend, and it is a high-grade member of a family.

Garry,

Yes Roxie is my buddy! She goes everywhere I go most days. We don't have kids so they are are very much part of the family. The Rat even sleeps in the bed with my wife and me.

OOO fine , three dogs in one family
It will be never boring or sad.
Dogs are very much loyal friends.
