Good morning!!! My sisters don't have school because of "inclement weather", AKA, a couple of flakes fell. They're going to be catching up till the middle of June at this rate!

After looking at your link, i was done with the internet for the night. I should of NEVER watched that lady giving birth in the wild. I was surprised they didnt censor ANYTHING. They showed the baby coming out and everything..... And now im emotionally scarred for life.

I missed my kids births. For my daughter's i was overseas in the army, for my son's i was in jail for being hard headed.... I always regretted missing their births. I no longer regret it. That was disturbing on a whole new level.

Got a call at 0630 to go to work, never been so happy to get that call! Things been a li'l scarce lately so I'm happy to have the work.
 
Hello guys/gals! Hope everyone is having a good day, its been busy busy busy here for me lately, but I did find an hour or so to knock out an impromptu project yesterday. Made a sheath for my carbon steel kitchen knife. It's was a learning process LOL. This one I either shouldn't have done a clip cut out in it, or made it longer, plus should have gave a little more room around the handle. Also my stitching is not perfectly symmetrical. Otherwise it came out looking kind of how I wanted it too. I wanted it to match the knife, sorta look like an old frontier type sheath. Pretty it aint, but as far as function goes it works, no wiggle, retains well, carries well, etc etc lol. All in all took no time and was fun.



edges came out pretty good, you can kinda see the belt loop,

Tonight for supper I'm making some rib eye with asparagus tossed in bacon fat and garlic and gnocchi with bacon (where I get the fat for the asparagus) with browned butter, manchego cheese and onion.
 
I'm surprised by all the guys who haven't gotten with the time and updated their pages. In on both 1 and 2 now.

And I see mountainmist is hating.

I home schooled/self taught, for about 2 years in high school just because lol... PE for me consisted of long hikes with a 12ga. :D good times. Now that I think about it, I did a lot of those hikes with just a shotgun, a bottle of water, knife, and maybe some binoculars, tons of fun.

I'm glad I skipped it, then. I was present for my daughter's birth, and that was enough "miracle of birth" for me. :barf:

BTW I think it's tremendously unfair that the doctor refused to give me any drugs for that ordeal :grumpy:
