You get it to sit on the handle bars for the ride home... snark, snark..
Now you're thinking. Ya got a small lever action 30-30.... It's a user deer/hog gun... Small scope is all you need. It's a 30-30..... I have a Tasco 2.5 on my 336c. It's all I want/need.... As bad as I see these days, a straight 4x would be better.
Doc
I love mountain biking and I love this idea. My first question.
If you harvest a larger animal, deer, bear, elk, moose, anything like that. What is the plan for hauling it out? That bike would be a bourdon at that point.
Jeremy
Drag the carcass behind you........snark
I've been thinking about getting a better scope for my AR build. Leupold Mark AR, perhaps. Just a few more things I need to complete my build.
Got any pictures of what you have so far? I a slowly getting into guns. I shot a buddies AR at a range last summer and it was awesome.
Jeremy
Those are cool too.
I have a set of Kevlar XC tires that I cut out some of the lugs so the snow wouldn't pack up in the tread and then put 250-300 3/4 sheet metal screws through them so the heads would be inside the tire and the points sticking out. Pump them up really hard and it is almost like riding on dirt, AND people get the hell out of your way.
Jeremy
AR's are pretty sweet. All guns are pretty sweet... I love guns.
Here's a pic of an M4gery I assembled about two or three years ago. I recently upgraded the handguards to magpul MOE and added an MOE vert grip.

LOL! I bet they ride like you're on pavement. We used to do the same thing in late 80s and go riding on ice! We would use Mr Tuffy tire liners to keep the sheet metal screws from punching holes in the tubes. Heavy as all fuck, but fun to ride!
Your showing your youth again...
If you meant that you should drag it out with the bike... well that isn't happening. If you drag it out without the bike you still have to go back for the bike.
Like I said, it would be a boudon.
Jeremy
I was kidding, it would be almost impossible to drag a 400LB Elk for any distance, yet alone down the mountain!
Yeah it is fun man! I just used old tubes slit open and set the good tube in that. That along with duct tape over the heads and I was flying down the mountain.
Jeremy
Time for more Japanese foot binding.
