I'm diggin the handle contours on those Lansky's. They look comfy.

It builds character....so suck it up, buttercup! ;)

That's what they always say when things suck :p

And now, if I haven't burned the bridge, did you ever get my e-mail about the possibility of an ElMax boning knife with ironwood scales?

I don't think so. Sorry if I missed it. Try again? It's certainly doable though... I'll be ordering more thin Elmax anyway and I already have some nice ironwood on hand.

James, sorry about the wife. However it's better than the alternative which is no work. It's better to be busy and overwhelmed for a while than not working and desperate.

That's very true, she's certainly in no danger of getting laid off!

Anybody see the Becker Reinhardt kukri in the exchange? I'd love to grab it but wifey needed a new washer AND dryer last week.
Washer was pretty busted but the dryer was fine. She said they NEEDED to match.
My old man woulda blown a gasket. But we just got our tax refund so.... Happy wife happy life?

what do you guys think of this logo for my knives? I have this as a tattoo on my leg. the skull and cross bone is too detailed for my sticker maker so I thought this would be better and i was thinking of making some arrow heads out of it.

when I left my old job I considered returning my work blackberry as a pile of dust in a piece of tupperware with the battery on top. But then it turned out I didn't have enough of a grudge against my boss, who'd been quite decent to me.
I had a curve that I put through hell! It got ran over by a city bus, got ran over by a van, fell out of my pocket down a flight of concrete stairs, got kicked, thrown, dropped in a sink full of water, who knows what all else, and I just had to replace the track ball. I in fact still have that phone as a back up to my back up.

Morning folks.

I have never been a fashion expert... Never much cared for what others thought... And i can understand baggy clothes... But NOT having your pants sag below your butt. Loose and comfortable, cool... I wear loose clothing.... Falling off your a$$... Not cool....

Well these days it seems guys take the tightest most skinny jeans they can squeeze into and then some how STILL figure out a way to use a belt to make their pants sit right below their butts.

I mean that has to take some engineering on their part. But im still NOT impressed.

After dropping my daughter off at school this morning I had to tell a grown man to pull up his pants if he wanted to speak to me because i didnt talk to half naked MEN. And he looked at me like I was the crazy one.:confused::rolleyes:
I lucked out, I don't have any kids (tl;nc) however I've been entrusted with the verifying of my nieces choice of boyfriend.

They look sweet!

I got frustrated and shot one of my old cell phones with a 7.63x39. I now have another cell phone and broken Ipod that are awaiting the firing squad.
No video/photos no care! Come on TBL! You know the first rule of the interwebz! POIDH!

Mornin ya'll I saw these new snorkels and thought these would make really good grinding mask
Those look cool but I'd worry about something penetrating them. How are they rated?

That is about right. I remember going skiing with my cousin and we both were wearing shorts.

710 that is sweet man. And if you make some arrow heads like that it would really be cool!! Do it in some good steel, put a good sharp edge on them, then add a hole to wear it as a pendent/neck "knife" with the tip down and id be all over it :D

I try not to wear sharp things around my neck that are just exposed. I spend way too much time in the car and the possibility of self impalement is way too high!

LOL, yea man, if its sharp it will need a small kydex sheath, i wouldnt want sharp steel just dangling free on my neck either HAHA

But im thinking JD could figure out a small kydex sheath with STYLE!!!

I liked wearing my BK11 as a neck knife but the possibility of one of my kids grabbing and yanking it out of its sheath are too high even with it under a shirt. Thats all I need is for one of my kids to get cut, or for one of then to shank me... either way my wife would still kill me LOL. Stopped wearing my 14 horizontal on the belt too because the sheath got broke in and I was always having to watch it to keep the kids from grabbing it. So the EDC fixed blade is now attached via a static line to my belt and then just dropped in the pocket, works well and keeps the kiddos safe. I seriously think I could write a book about kids and knife safety... LOL

LOL ya,I've that tattoo about 20 years ago and always liked the shape. most defiantly gonna have a sheath

Glad you and your wife are handling these work trials with a smile!

Yes, as I said, good work is rewarded with more work. Hopefully it's one of those places that really appreciates the hard work and takes care of her. Some places will ride the good horse until it's dead, and then just find another one without a second thought.

Becker kuk in the Exchange.......

Yes, in general, a happy wife does make life better...not always, but pretty high percentage!

I looked at the sale thread and, maybe it's just me, but I don't see any marking on the blade, and the grind looked a little funny. I've never seen one in real life, but it looks pretty different from the one in the Becker Blade Database.

Good answer.
I feel the same way about dudes talking to me in the bathroom. It's never appropriate to talk to me at work with your junk in your hand. Never. It's not ok on either side of the door.

great idea!
think they'd work with glasses?

Got it. Hmm, that does sound familiar... I must have forgotten to reply to it earlier. Sorry about that :o Reply inbound.

She worked there before she came up north to be with me, and when they heard we were moving back down here, offered her her old job back with a fairly hefty raise plus a company car/gas card with a ton of "personal mileage allowance" to boot... so I'd say they treat her pretty well. She definitely earns every penny, though.

Pretty sure thats the RBK I sold, when I was broke. If it is, then its a sterile, carbon steel version, as opposed to the 440 C version.

I almost want to buy one just so I can experiment with it, it looks like it would fit around the frames

That looks about right to me, I'm not an expert or nothing but it looked pretty legit. Not worth $300 to me though.

Yeah, I have a similar rule. Don't talk to me if you got your junk in your hand. However when it's a doctor that is talking it isn't always an easy rule to follow.

That is good! Sometimes it is hard to find a company that is willing to show how valuable you are!

Why would someone get a knife and not use it? I mean at least once?!!!? It isn't like a bottle of scotch, it doesn't get better by just storing it...

But it might gain value. Look at all the people on the bay who do nothing but order Randalls five years ago and sell 'em for a $100-200 profit as soon as they come in. How many of those are actually being used for anything except filling up display cases?

I'm definitely a "user" guy myself... just sayin, a lot of people aren't.
