I think I found my "If I had to choose one" folder..!!!

I've been thinking about picking up a Shaman, I usually prefer ~3", lighter blades though, so I'm not sure it would get all that much pocket time.

I think my "if I had to choose one" pick right now would be my TRM Neutron 2.

I've carried the large Rukus 610 as my EDC for many, many years. I have a lot of folders that I like, but the Rukus fits my needs and tastes so well, that I carry it alone.

My hand and the muscle memory acquired from regular use has made the Rukus feel like an old and trusted friend.

I'm EDC promiscuous. The closest thing I have had to a constant companion is a pliers based multitool. I have carried one of those nearly every day for 22 years...but the models have varied as I have upgraded.

As far as folders go, my Large Inkosi fits about 95% of my needs. I like the quickness of an OTF a bit more, but a buttery smooth CRK just seems to work for me...still only been carrying it less than 2 years though ;)

He/she who dies with the most toys wins! *

* I know I'm not going to come in first with the most toys but I sure as heck aint going to come in last either.

To the OP, congrats!

If I had to pick just one for some strange reason... either a Spyderco PM (2 or 3) or my ZT 0350.

Shaman is a great knife, a little large for what I like though but I've been stalking them online for a few months.
I believe it is based on the native, do a comparison and you will see. I have handled one, it IS solid, the lock bothers the hand so I went Native. Native is back lock which i like so win-win for me

I've carried a variation of the Spyderco Military since they first came out... at the first, because the liner lock was easier for one-hand use than the back-lock on my Spyderco Goddard, which I carried because it was larger than my Spyderco economy, which I carried because I could open it one-handed as compared to my Gerber Fieldlite III, which had a larger blade than the LST, and on, and on...

I have been carrying a Manix II lockback lately... but the Millie's liner-lock is just so dialed-in with my arthritic fingers...

If knives were women, I'd have all the std's at this point.

I too keep a multi tool with me always, in my little medical bag. Vic Super Tinker.

Its official now, the ZT 0470 is my favorite. For now. 20cv, amazing action, love the low profile flipper tab, and the deep carry clip makes it perfect.

ZT... I wonder which edc-transmitted disease I could cat h from them?

Shaman is a great knife, had one but for me I can't get use to the compression lock, I tried but just not for me, if it was a frame lock or a liner lock, I'd pick one up again.

If I just chose one it would be the Gayle Bradley 2. Congratulations on finding yours.

I keep looking at the shaman but I have a Manix 2, a Para 3 with contoured black linen scales, and a pm2 with contoured micarta scales. Not sure if it would do anything that those three compression lock knives cant do right now but it is a VERY attractive knife. I saw some contoured black titanium scales for it recently and it had me hovering over the purchase button for a few days.

Shaman is a good choice. I carry one often. I have a few... but one in particular, is a standard Shaman S30V with black DLC blade that is stiff as all get out. I've disassembled it, oiled several times, KPL, Nano, and it still will not flick open to save it's life. The most I can get out it, is a half way open flick, when I get lucky. If I loosen the pivot screws anymore, I get blade play. Might have just gotten a bad one... but it also makes me gun-shy about buying another. Strange knife.
