I think I'm gonna get a BK15....

Yeah...it was the lower on mine that almost made me bust a blood vessel. Largely irrelevant now. After two days of screwing with them, and leaving them snapped overnight, both of mine function just as they should. Sure glad I wasted all that energy being pissed off, screaming obscenities at in inanimate objects and unknown people who work in the factory where the sheath was made...I'm sure that helped as well.

:D

The BK5 is my favorite knife ever and the BK15 is just a smaller, more nimble version.

Just wait till ye clean fish with it. It's awesome.

Congratulations on the BK-15. It is a most un-appreciated Becker knife. Frankly since I got mine, it is my favorite Becker and the one I choose for woods duty often. It just feels right and the blade length and shape just works for me.

Now take that pretty little knife and quickly strip her, not too carefully either and turn her into the rugged little tool that she is and enjoy the outdoors with her. You will find her delicate and rugged, sleek and strong - heck of a package!

Hell, I at lest bought mine a drink first. ;')

I couldn't be more in agreement...however. Got my BK2 today! 4th Becker of the month. And she couldn't be more the opposite. Strong? Rugged? Oh yeah...in spades! But delicate and sleek... hardly....LOL

For months now I've been reading all the comments regarding the BK2, over and over again, but figured most of it was exaggeration. Jesus Cockadoodle Christ..!!!!! What a hunk of steel!!! I had planned on going out to cut something, but now that I have it in hand....I think I'm just gonna go find something to smash to bits with the butt. Or maybe dismantle a John Deere road grader!Already stripped for me and with a more than great start on a nice patina. I adore the sleek B15 princess, but the king has arrived! I love this thing! And that's it...I'm done!

Prove it...pics! I wanna see that patina

Camera is broken but my daughter is coming by maybe tomorrow, I'll get her to take a couple pics. In the meantime here is one taken by the BF member I bought it from, but it looks at least 3 times better than this ....trust me, it does. You, pics or it didn't happen guys crack me up. Why would I lie? Why would I not show you a pic of a knife that, when I took it out of the box, nearly made me orgasmic? Jesus. ;')

You're happy. That's all that matters.

In the short run, yes. This one rings my bell as few others have...in a different manner, to be sure. Not a knife that can say...don't hate me cause I'm beautiful, because it's certainly not. Don't hate me cause I'm ugly? No, not at all. Don't hate me cause I'm lethal....Nah...I have lots more lethal knives...that are also incredibly beautiful. Don't hate me cause I'm indestructible...certainly true, but more than that. I own so many knives which have captivated me, but this BK2 has taken the cake....for now, of course, and I can't find the words to describe it. ;')

Hello Ichor!

It's not that we don't trust You.
We just want to see beautiful pictures.

Endel.

After having the BK2 for a couple days now, I don't love it less, but now recall the numerous negative comments I read regarding the plastic sheath. It dulls the knife. My very limited experience bears this out...bummer. Not tragic, but I really didn't want to buy it another sheath.

Tell me about. In the past 3 weeks I've purchased BK 9-5-15, SOG Seal Pup, Tech Bowie & Seal Team Elite and...umm, let's see....oh yeah...Swamp Rat SR77 Proto (s'posed to be here today and is on USPS truck out for delivery :D)

And you got a BK-2. I'm keeping score... BK-2, BK-5, BK-9, and BK-15. Time for a BK-16 or BK-17. Once you use the BK-2 a bit and like the size but perhaps not the heft, you'll be getting a BK-10. That was my experience, but I had other knives in the BK-10 size range. Added: There is nothing wrong with the BK-2 if you feel you need the strength or weight for your general use.

You have the knife bug bad. The Becker's kind of do that to you. I have one of the old Tech Bowies (Tech I and Tech II) and Seal Pup Elite. Those SOGs came during my SOG buying days and those days have mostly passed. I do like the Seal Pup Elite. In hindsight, the steel may be a tad thick for me on the Elite, but it is a good all around blade for the woods like the Becker's. At one time, the Elite was my go to woods knife.

Yeah, I had it bad before I started buying Beckers. [/I] After the BK2, everything else seems absolutely svelte , if not anorexic. LOL

A newby tip on the BK line of knives... I didn't like how slick the scaled were, and didn't want to spend a bundle on micarta replacements, so I found a simple and cheap solution. I was stippling one of my Glocks, and my BK2 was just sitting there all innocent like, so I snatched it up and gave it a good stipple and a sanding. It now feels great in the hand, with no slipping, and it didn't cost me a penny. Hope this helps.
