Not to namedrop BLADE again, but this year's show was where they debuted the Dixon, and all of the ones on the table were all stonewash Ti slab plain models, and I left thinking they weren't really worth the asking price. It took seeing the Frag model (as well as seeing the anno wash they do on these) to see the value in it. The frag model is the perfect pattern for these, to my eye.

Mine is a PJ, but same color scheme as yours and quickly becoming a favorite carry!

Appreciate the kind words, Elliot. I was a little surprised myself to find out that this was the case. I got this knife in the last week of September, posted it here on the 1st of October, and I've had it in my pocket literally every day since then. I can't recall the last time I'd carried a knife for more than a week or two at most before cycling through to another favorite. We are all spoiled for choices these days, but for me, this thing is one of the greatest. Wild, given that if you look objectively at McNees, they're essentially the same recipe almost exactly as Curtiss knives, and I don't carry mine often!! American made, MagnaCut, Ti framelocks (although most Curtiss knives are flippers), hollow grinds, heavy stonewash on the blades, great anno work, similar pricing, and so on.

The level of fit and finish on these are nicer than any of my Curtiss knives, however!
 
Speaking of which! Ladies, Gentlemen, and jbmonkey jbmonkey ( 🤣 ), McNees just sent out an email. They're dropping some of the 3 inch MAC2s next week, including some in their new "ZirBlast" treatment. They released some Dixons with this treatment last week, the pictures made it seem nice.
 
What is ZirBlast for the unanointed? I got the email as well. Only because I had written an attaboy to Jonathan on the Dixon and I guess he decided to add my email to the list.

It seems like a smooth somewhat dark finish that's similar to stonewashing, best I can tell.

I presume it's supposed to look somewhat like a knife that has zirconium scales (an extremely spendy option, usually).

im not aware what you're referring to that happened to a post you did.

ive had other posts I've done edited and moved etc, cause I made a mistake.

ill be the first to admit sometimes I make mistakes...and if I do I accept whatever needs to be done. so im okay if you report my post. maybe my post is violating rules and out of line. wasnt my intent, but happens. we arent perfect all the time.

im not sure what youre implying....but ive had Blues and the other mods here who i also chat and post with edit my posts and even remove them. it happens. id say in hindsight when they remove or edit a post i do...... they are in the right doing that.

im not sure what ya want me to say or do....I can report my own post, I guess...best I can do for ya on this.
