I think the ZT 0888 Max is about to ship - the 0454 is also about to ship

The blade never had the look I am talking about, the handle is just getting "pocket buffed" if you will -

Plus I have been handling it a lot at home, opening, closing, fondling etcetera.

So did anyone notice that the blade is longer than 3.75? Mine it has to be at least 4 inch blade. It easily dwarfs the 0301 blade (length wise not width wise) and it easily has a 1/4 inch or more on the 0301 and just comes short of matching my 0600. I just thought that was interesting. So far I am very impressed with the build quality and surprised by the overall size of this thing. It is just something special and makes me curious how the 0454 will be when it starts hitting the streets.

Almost forgot to add its hair popping sharp out of the box. Very nice for how difficult this steel must have been to work with.

Guess it depends on where you measure from. If measuring from furthest point of the handle it measures right at 3-3/4". From the pivot it measures 4-3/8".
Oh and I also have # 78 & 79 in my possesion :D Both are M390's.
 
Well, let's do it again, guys.

Some of you may have already seen on ZT's FB page announcing that they will be doing a lottery for ten 0454s at blade. I called a few of my trusted dealers, and one said their KAI rep said the knives are definitely made. I assume they will ship shortly after Blade. My anxiety begins...

Whose going to get one first?
 
Geez, I hope the 0562cf doesn't take this long:( its the first knife I've preordered, do they typically take this long?
 
One on the exchange for $1500, plus fees of course. ;)
I'd love it if KAI announced this item will be regular production! :D
You'd be hearing grunts and moans around the world!
 
Hopefully, we'll see a satin M390 version in addition to the triple composite blade.

Lots of great releases by ZT just the past month or so: 0770CF, 0801CF, 0801BRWCF, 0888MAX and 0888M390!

I doubt the 562cf will take as long as the 0454. It is a regular production and the 0454 is a limited edition. Not saying the 0562cf won't, but hopefully it will be out sooner rather than later.

I don't necessarily consider the 0562cf a high end mid-tech knife from what I know about it, but a production model. Am I mistaken, will these be limited editions? Or are they going to be more along the lines of the 801cf, 0454, 0777, etc.?

We were originally talking about the 0454, not other stuff. So considering what they sell for at a store, then what they end up for on the Exchange at the hands of the flippers. I would call them high end mid tech knives. You could sell a 0454 way faster than a Strider or CRK; I've seen it.
 
^^^Okay I see what you meant. I would agree that the 0454 is high end and midtech (custom even?) quality. I was a little worried that the 0562cf might be limited.

I think the 0562CF is going to be regular production. At least I sure hope it is.

I don't know who will be first, but I sure hope I get one!!

They are beautiful - and the fact that it is the first three piece composite blade gives it a technical interest.

I hope to see them again tomorrow here in Atlanta.
