I think the ZT 0888 Max is about to ship - the 0454 is also about to ship

We need a consolidated serial number sound thread for all three 0888 versions. I would start it but I am afraid I won't have time to maintain it.
 
I like it, too, Limpy. Don't know that I could bring myself to do that, but I salute you for doing it. All the rest of us lesser men are going to be dying to know how that steel holds an edge, and how the knife holds up over time. Right on. :thumbup::thumbup:
 
Over easter weekend I debarked some cedar limbs with my 560cbcf. And used my 801cf the week I got it to make a light box for photos and put a scratch in it. The this past memorial day I used my 600 in the water as I put up the peir for the family lake house and cut a bunch of rope for the boat. I used the ones I got.


Can anyone tell me the blade thickness of all 3 versions. It has been I awhile since I seen the orginal 888. Im remembering it being thicker than my maxmet. But it could be I got used to the 600 now and think every knife is smal compared to it.

Cool! I took the exact same shot with my 4001 Tilt - that is an "eating my steak" shot. I have been carrying my Max as well. For a large knife, it carries like it is not there, it just fits down into your pocket and the clip is next to invisible, yet it is easy to get out of your pocket whe necessary.

As to the DLC coating, I agree - my Tilt has been used often and not babied nor abused, and there is not one nick or chip in the DLC - tough stuff!

So what are the highest serial numbers you guys have seen? Just wondering what the "real" indication is on production numbers for each model. In this thread, it looks like:

Max = 0074
M390 = 0119

To round it out, I own 182 on the original S110V composite blade.

Have you guys seen higher numbers?

Highest I've seen also^ 2 forum members have max's # 73 and 74 ... # 75 is on the auction site, but it's a 390. Maybe that's where the max ends?
 
Once I get mine in I will have 81 in the maxamet. I'm curious how many bladeforum members managed to snatch these up.
