I waited quite a while for this one

Dave makes some of the nicest knives I have seen. He has a great eye for design, proportion and flow.

He also, in a very short time, became one heck of a sheathmaker as well.

The attached photo shows the frame handle make up of the knife, but the blade pictured was replaced by the one that is on the knife now. Both Dave and I liked the new blade better.

Also Dr. David, thank you so much for the information and picture of Dave!! I have counted Dave as a really good friend for some time and today I finally get to see what he looks like.

Oh man! Very, very nice, I do like that one, Paul.

A nice kydex sheath with a big honkin' Tek-lock would really complete the package. ;)

Hey Man, you read my mind!!! who makes good custom Kydex now a days.

Lovely knife. Great use of materials. I like everything about it. I can't wait to see it with its new sheath.

YAHOOOO! Great to see Dave making knives again. I have admired his knives from the start, and was fortunate to be one of the members in on a passaround of one of his folders. Great work and a very identifiable style. More pics please! And Dave... more knives please!

Wow - That is some great stag, and I don't think it could have been utilized any better.

That is a beautiful knife in every aspect!Congrats on such a good score. However,if I had to wait three years for it,I'd be pulling my hair out:eek:

Hey Mongo...that pass-around was a fantastic piece, eh? I found it hard to send on! :D

Took a couple of pics of it while it was here; what a beautiful knife...the mastodon was breathtaking!

What a terrific looking hunter! Great job Dave, well worth the wait Paul! I hear the sheathmaker is back-logged around one week. Look forward to the leather job on this one. Should be an awesome package!

Who are you going have make a sheath for it? ;)

Funny thing is, I became familiar with Dave Kelly through the very nice sheaths he made (I suppose) as he was recovering and unable to make knives. So I knew he was a heck of a sheath maker-- not that Paul Long needs any help-- but I had no idea he was such a fine knife maker. I am truly impressed, you have a beautiful knife there.
