hey j nice pics of your lights:) I was tempted to purchase the RA Twisty or the Novatac 120P for EDC but now I am concerned on the *throw* potential for the Twisty. Is it pretty good?

200lm without breaking a sweat :D I really like it for its two modes and size. There is not a lot of side spill but enough to do the job, its main spot though is incredible, throws very far even in low.
 
Thread ressurection! Alot has hapened over the last year or so with lights. Figured wed see if anyone has cool new toys.

I did order the TA30 from storl shortly after. Its been my EDC ever since. A bit heavy it rides in the work bag.

Since this pic was taken I lost the red 2AA mag on a business trip.

I've ordered an UltraFire/Cree C3 as a replacement for the lost 2AA Mag. Should be here soon. I'll post my pics when it arrives.

No pics yet, but Quark 2xAA has replaced my Fenix L2D Q5 as my hiking/camping light. Also, the iTP A3 EOS has replaced the Fenix E01 in my PSK and on all of my keychains. :thumbup: I have a Petzl Tikka Plus headlamp as well, which absolutely rocks.

Also have a Surefire E2DL in my EDC backpack now.

Wow, I didn't realize the Mini Quark was that small. How's the beam? Pretty much zero throw and all flood? Probably not great outdoors, but I bet that little thing can light up a room like nothing else it's size....

Very smooth beam with no artifacts. Slight greenish tint, but nothing to squawk about. More throw than you might expect. I can get good definition and color rendition out more than 50 yards on high, but the wide beam can light up my whole backyard easily. This light is a great value.

I keep a Nitecore Infinity R3 HA on the shoulder loop on my biker jacket. Always have hands free, forward pointing light.

I use a SF lumamax lx2 which is great for throw and a lower mode but because I can use the Li 3.7v rechargeables I get the most use out of SF E2e and E2d both originally incans but now using Malkoff M60s in VME heads. They both have nearly the throw of the lx2 and a bit more spill with free juice. AA Quark also gets a lot of use for the moon mode, it's great for checking on sleeping kiddos without disturbing them

Carried within my business bag.

It has flash mode for both white and red light and white flash mode
can be used to attract fireflies. :)

That's whats missing. Head lights! Both here and in my gear bag :o. I really need to get one.
