I wanna see some EDC and Wilderness lights!

That's whats missing. Head lights! Both here and in my gear bag :o. I really need to get one.

For those of you that run smallish lights an accesory headband can come in handy. I prefer a dedicated headlamp like a petzle tikka for dedicated use but to throw in a BOB a little headstrap for your edc light could be useful in a pinch. Heres a Fenix L1D ce sporting one. Neat little setup for those "dang I wish I could use both hands .." moments. I have a little kit coming for the quark also that will make it an angle light for cliping to a belt or pocket.....its a good time to be a light nerd these days. of course all of us in WSS know how awesome handsfree lighting is in the outdoors.

In the old days it was generally various forms of maglight but more recently

Photon Freedom micro on the key ring most of the time
But when going bush a princeton(?) Quad tactical -as I need the red filter when out hunting. And have the photon of a single aa with one of the modern leds as backup when ever out of camp as I often end up walking back to camp in the dark

I am a big fan of the Photon and Surefire.

I have a G3, an L5, and a U2.

I have the Photon Freedom Micro Coverts, one in red, and one in white. I also have their ReX rechargeable light, which I like alot, it and the U2 are my EDC lights.

I have a Petzl e-Lite, and would love to have one of their Myo XP, I think it is...

I have a Cyclops, but I have had it for some time, have not given it away, and it just hangs out in my Fire Kit, just in case.

I might take a picture tomorrow.

Haha, will do, but I'm really liking this simple tough light. A winner for sure . If I replace my EDC light, you'll be the first to know, B :)

I forgot to let you know too, I got the belt, fits perfect, looks awesome!:D

My Surefire G2 with a cree R2 3 mode LED (hi, med, low) and a tail click switch. I love this light. I'm guessing in the mid 200 lumens range on high, the tail switch allows it to be set up like a candle and no twisting needed. I like the G2's size because it's a full handful yet still rides nicely in my pocket.
Total investment $40. The flashlight was used for $15, $15 for the LED, $10 for the switch.

The bezel is painted with truck bed liner just for fun because it had some gunpowder burns from the original owner.

Hoopster, you have a PM. Those mods make my bedside light even better :) I've been meaning to pick up at least a tail clicky for a while now....

If you just have the 80 lumen Surefire LED, I highly recommend the cree R2 3 mode or 5 mode. You get the choice between a much higher high and a better run time on low. Keep your original bulb as a spare.

Will do, thanks for the other info in the PM as well

Hey bushman, what do you think of the TA-30? I've been eyeing that thing for a while now, but the ED2L allways makes it back into the picture.

Get the ED2L. I had the TA-30 and sold it after a week, hated that cheap chinese feel it had on it. Ther SureFire is much more solid and the throw is fantastic.

nuke proof light. Very solid construction, fit and finish, on par and exceeds many of my Surefires. Drop it , throw it, submerge it, run it in cold temps and it never lets you down. BRIGHT INTENSE beam, nice low/medium settings and the strobe kicks arse when blinding meth'ed out addicts at night. The bezel breaks glass and chops out facial divots VERY NICELY. Throws a beam very far downrange.

One of my GO TO lights.
