I want a *gasp* thin Busse.

The AD handle is not good for many cuts. It is great for a straight push/stab cut or palming the knife while cutting towards self. The straight handle of the Cultie gives you much better control for any cut other than those.

Try this for one example...try making fuzz sticks, or cut meat or anything else while cutting away from yourself with an AD, then a Cultie. You will feel the fulcrum effect of the staright handle that you won't get with any handle with rear drop. Gives you much more power and control on these types of cuts.

When Ken speaks about cutting stuff ... I listen.:)

anybody think the skeleton key would be a good choice...small and light and you could save weight with a paracord wrap instead of a handle....got a straight blade and .187 thick.

Horton touched up the edges on these three:

I just held a culti for the first time the other day. I was really impressed by how it felt in the hand. It had the mag handles. Felt like it would be a great all arounder.

If I was going back-country with only a Busse 'bushcraft' I think it would be the ABA. I've chopped within reason, batoned it .............

My favorite is the Culti, great ergonomics, but I back it up with a larger fixed blade for those abusive moments !

I agree with Trevor about the BAD being pointy, plus I worry about the tip, I'm more comfortable with the original AD or one of the thicker variants in the field.

The GW has lots of belly, it's a bit short, but I've been amazed at what I've been able to do with my LE.

The Scrapper 5 :o:foot: (hey Dan ! ;)) has potential, but I haven't used mine yet.

The Vex is great too :o, but D2 is more brittle than the INFI, and I'd be a little wary of batoning it through hardwood. I don't have enough personal experience with SR's D2 heat treat yet to bet the farm.

I keep a SAR5 in my trail bag (the Bosses favorite :foot::rolleyes::D) just in case.

I'm in the same boat - I'd LOVE to see an INFI Vex, or at least 154cm, which, with the Ohio magic heat treat, is pretty dang tough. Throw a talon hole in it like the sar5 if you have to, but give me that exact blade profile with a tougher steel.

I'm going to toss one more into the mix, though it's just as hard to find as the ABA LE.

The original Lean Mean Street. It's sort of like a cross between the Culti and the AD. Thin, straight handle, and very ergonomic.

Where is resinguy? He's the thin INFI freak.

You have a fine collection mang,,,:thumbup:

Now quit postin pics, or your gonna force me to buy another busse. :foot::eek::);)

So far, that Lean Mean has been the best bushcraft blade I've found from Busse. It's coated, but that quality has its pluses. One day, when its all stripped down and ragged looking, that one may go in for a spa treatment and a bead blast.

those Lean Means look awesome.

I'm leaning heavily toward a Culti to pair with my BWM as an all-around set. I would like to try one of the Hacks with the big choil that have shown up at the shows, head to head against a Culti - but just by looks and thinking about it - the Culti seems better.
