I want the toughest knife ever made!!!

If you like Desert Eagles you would prolly like Strider knives.

I don;t understand this equation at all.

The Strider is an overbuilt, bulletproof, folding prybar made for serious use. The Desert Eagle is an oversized, underbuilt, fragile range queen made for bragging rights....where is the similarity?

HAHHAHA :D "range queen"

think I'll stick with my Glock 31 and spyderco, black plastic everywhere but both tough as nails. well... tougher really.

I'd recommend a Strider SMF in the aftermarket. They would run about $350 well used, which is $100 above your budget. But all strong folders will take a beating if used heavily as a pry bar. The lock won't fail, but you'd start to get a bit of bladeplay. YMMV.

For under $250, you could consider the Benchmade Skirmish or a Spyderco Manix. The Skirmish has a very thick blade, which doesn't make it a very efficient cutter.

oh yea, hi SPRITE or SPRINT!

Gentlebeings, let's not go haring after everybody and his hamster accusing them of being sprite in disguise. Especially when you can see for yourself he joined long before sprite started in, but even if you find a newbie who might really be sprite don't go chasing off every newbie who joins from now on with your ridiculous suspicions.

Carry on ...

Go check out the HI forum. Some of the Khukuris are 4 lbs, and well over 5/8 in thick at the spine.

How could you not think the ZT knives are not tough enough? I have the 0200 and the 0121 and both are about the beefiest folders you could get! I would get the 0200 or the 0300 even though I don't have it. The ZT knives pretty much rival Strider's, but of course the Crusader forge would not be bad. I would be worried about spending $500 for a knife vs. 110-160 for the ZT, when they almost do the same....

i would absolutley agree zt knives kick ass and the 0200 is one of the beefiest folders you can own it will take anything you through at it alotta bang for your buck as many would say

after reading into ur thread some more if you can possible think the 0200 is not beefy enough i would suggest crusader forgde the knives are simplistic and redicuously beefy so i think that style of folder would be right for you
