I want to know YOUR grail

The good news is that this thread made me think. ...

Then i got to handle my grail and feel even more in love.

Now I'm on the makers list.

The bad news is is not gonna be cheap.

Spyderco Superhawk and a Gayle Bradley are my current modern folding grails. The Junglas is my large fixed grail, and the Fallkniven f1 is the smaller fixed. For a traditional, I have my grail. Gec 66 in burnt stag with a stockman configuration.
Oh, and a Benchmade 51 for the balisong grail.

I don't know if this counts as a grail since I don't and could never afford to own one, but any OTF knife particularly Microtech... I've always dreamed of it.

It'll have to be my lost grail.

The Benchmade Ares was mine for a long time. I got one and EDC'ed the crap out of it. Traded it and have regretted it ever since

Right now it's a Grayman Dua... Last week it was a Benchmade Mini Skirmish, next week it will probably be a Kershaw Tyrade... Sigh...

Well considering my definition of a grail I am not sure if I have found it yet. Top rankings so far are RJ Martins.....other makers that are expensive but not terrible to get on the order list so yes I still am looking.

Currently in the running for the #1 spot. Although, I'd gladly own any one of them if I could either find or afford them.

Hoback A10 or really anything by him.
Stan Wilson custom.
Hinderer XM-18 Aggressor Grind.
Jeremy Marsh "chipped titanium" Vanquish.
Microtech Nemesis IV.
Tuff Tanic custom.
Direware Solo, non-recurve.
Shirogorov Hati.
Brian Tighe custom.

Granted, it's really hard to say without having handled them. Hopefully I'll attend BladeShow at some point and get some of them in my hands.

Edit: Man, I have a problem. I honestly don't know if I could ever justify having well over 20 grand in knives. Well, it's nice to dream.

I almost hate to sound like a cliche. A Direwre Hyper 90, in Orange G10. For me it would fill the majority of my needs. I know that a lot of guys like the industrial no frills acid/anodized look. I don't need, any skulls. Or fancy super duper quadruple blade grinds. The Hyper90 will get used on camping hiking and other adventures. And not live in a lined drawer or a safe. Every guy has a grail/dream knife. And each has there own reasons. I would never put down someone's choice. Just save your penny's and wait for their books to open. And then enjoy you're better nights of sleep knowing that you "Did it" Cheers
