I wonder what we will see in 2016?

I'd like a trailmaster with a nicely contoured micarda handle. The steel is not important as long as it's a quality high carbon steel, but the sheath is ver important! I'd like to see cold steel use Kydex for a change!

And yes, a smaller and more ergonomic version of the code 4 in titanium scales would be a definite winner.

Another plus for a slimmed down code 4. 3-3.25 blade with a handle that is more streamlined. 2015 was a great year for all the upgrades.

I'd like to see some more small fixed blades designed for sideways belt carry. Maybe then I could get away with carrying one at work.

The mini bushman

Times a million. I can't believe they haven't yet. Instead we get the bowie bushman, probably the most hideous production knife ever. I had one and ground it down to the shape of a regular bushman, just couldn't stand looking at it.
I own about 5 bushmans but they just don't get carried, a mini would be my edc.

If the only thing they do all year is bust out a tip-up Tuff Lite in an upgraded steel, I'll be beside myself with joy.

I'm loving this transitionary period - I picked up a large polished Espada for $130 shipped BNIB, and am going to pick up a DLC XHP Espada and do a blade swap. Then, I'll pick up the new BD1 Counter Point 1, maybe a Code 4 Tanto, and probably an XHP 4" TI-Lite and a 6" Holdout.

Cold Steel is about to become the bulk of my carry rotation.

Ehh, when the Recon 1's were new, they ran around $90. The Black Talon runs about $110, which is $20 more. Not "at least a third" by my math. Sure, the Recons eventually went down to around $70 after they'd been out awhile, but I figure down the road the Black Talon will likewise drop in price.

As for new 2016 offerings, I dunno. I'm always open for more machetes...maybe a parang or golok? Sure, my Condors will always be my favorites, but I'm still always happy to get a new CS machete. Maybe they could bring back the Culloden...

Ya, prices stabilized and got better around here with some time. I like the new steel and I'll be grabbing some. Considering another one for the pile right now. I was floored with what C.S. did this year, very impressive. I'm not all that worried about 2016 as I am still drooling over some 2015 toys.

I wish they would finally release some of the things that were brought out for 2015 :D

I would love to see a nice and sturdy camp/utility /survival knife. Similar to the AK 47 Fieldknife which is very very good but I'd like to see a knife that's even more "utilitarian". Sabergrind, maybe a nice drop point, G10 or Micarta handle scales and less pronounced/no finger grooves.

Yes, they need to have a more neutral handle as a variety of holds are needed for a knife like this. I would nix the saber grind and opt for full flat grind, however. I have said this (above, I think) about the folders.

I d like to see an American Lawman without the dlc blade coating.

I've always been anti-coating but man, the DLC on my Recon 1 Clip Point is nice. I actually like the way it looks and its wear resistance is amazing.

All the ones I see breaking on you tube are the Bowie ones. I don't like the way they look either. I have several bushmans and 3 mini bushmans. I love em. Don't understand why cold steel won't bring it back! So many people want it! For now it's the condor mini matagi. Think maybe it might be lawsuits ? No guard on them I wonder if a lot of people got hurt? Who knows! JUST BRING THE DAMN THING BACK

A company concerned about lawsuits wouldn't be selling the GI Tanto or the Counter Point series (arguably borrowing heavily from Al Mar)

I'd like an American Lawman with Swift II/Ultimate Hunter kind of saber flat grind. Maybe add tanto to the mix(Demko's AD-10 Tanto looks great).

+1 to the DLC coating. It makes the knives look very high end, like those polished Marfione custom blades.

p.s. please no more mall ninja comment on this. you can have black car, black iphone etc......

I would like knife like that
