I Would Buy That If.....

I would buy a whole mess of cold steel's stuff if they would stop trying to make everything look tacticool. Offer some natural handle materials, ditch the blacked out blades, don't put huge lettering on the side of the blade, etc.
I like the general designs of a lot of there stuff but asthetics are important.

I would buy another ZT 0801 if it were an ounce lighter. (The 0801 Ti didn't quite make it, but it's a step innthe right direction).

Even a satin or stonewashed blade on the recon series would be great.

Emerson's without the stupid wave.
Ive got a kershaw emerson i stopped carrying because of the wave. Ive been toying with the idea of grinding down the wave.

And as for something id buy if...

A spyderco delica wharncliff if it ever was in stock!

I'd buy the CRK Mnandi Damascus cocobolo if the blade length was less than 2.5 inches.
Crazy local knife laws

I would buy an Emerson if the chisels were ground in the other direction ... maybe. I still might not.

I would buy more Emersons if they were cheaper :D

Frankly, having 2 left hand chisel grounds (and not just the v grinds sharpened on one side) the advantage those tantos have is I find sharpening them the way they are ground for me easier (which may not apply to others, I understand) and it's easier to cut and eat steak.

I would buy many, many knives from Boker's Plus line of custom collaborations, if only they had Spyderco's quality control. Instead of Boker's quality control. And slightly better steel choices for the price.

Also I would buy SOG's Kiku Matsuda collaborations with much the same conditions.

I would buy a Spyderco Police in stainless with a plain edge if it didn't say POLICE on it.
I would buy a Spyderco Vallatton if it didn't have a THUMB STUD in addition to the Spidey hole.

I think that's the blade stop on that design.

I would buy many more knives if the drop point was used more often. If I ruled the knife world, every basic model would be a drop point and only special models would be recurved or clipped. Sometimes it feels like companies want to stand out so much they're allergic to drop points. Unless drop points unbeknownst to me are wildly expensive to produce. (I don't think they are though)

i would buy Benchmade if they had better quality control & fit and finish for the price's they are asking.

i would buy spyderco FRN models if they were offered in carbon fiber instead of FRN.

i would buy ZT's s35vn if it had higher edge retention.

i would buy quartermaster if it was actually made in the usa or if they actually said it was made in china... or if they actually labeled there materials correctly, or if Jared wasnt the owner.

i would buy microtech if they didnt go around suing everyone (probably not tho).

i would buy cold steel if it wasnt run by Lynn Thompson

Great thread lots of fun
I've got three
1. I would buy another spyderco domino if it were about 10% larger otherwise I love the knife
2. I would buy a SOG Aegis if it were G10 and had an actual Arc lock like in the Vulcan
3. I would buy another 0850 if the hardware matched and they dropped the six shooter and bullet style features just give me some nice stand offs please.

Not trying to invalidate your opinion but, what is the problem woth the wave? Why do so many people have an issue with it?

Looks like an arc lock to me. I guess there is something that makes it not an actual arc lock though.
