Just for fun..say you wake up to gunshots near by.. a car skids past your house clipping your mailbox.. you hear sirens all over ..WTF is going on??!!.. you flip on the TV..a total collapse is underway... total anarchy is breaking out all around your city home.. you have to grab your wife, kids and a few supplies an bail to the family ranch in the country..FAST!!

1 handgun
1 long gun
What are those few vital weapons ???

ASH1 (pick one...anyone... ;) ) and NMFBM I guess (FFBM or KZII are all tied here)

Glock 17 (S&W 686 is right up there as well)

Steyr SSG (my heart says my Sako AII but the Steyr can do all the same things and more, albeit in a heavier less handy package).

If so I would grab my gransfors bruks, W.A.Surls hunter, Sig P229 (in .357 sig) and my IWI Tavor (with night vision scope)

Glock 19 with 31 round mags and 5 extra 15 round mags.
Colt M4 with Aimpoint and Surefire Scout. 16 30 round pmags.
 
Bare in mind...this is a collapse it will be long an drawn out desaster.. no stopping at a gun store for oil and cleaning supplies... your weapons gotta hold up for the long, dirty, hot, cold, future... hunting, skinning, protection, chopping, utility.. these are all ya got...

Well depending on type of Apocalypse I will take my TGLB and CZ85 plus my Henry Goldenboy 22 for game shooting I got stacks of .22 LR in ammo cans I also would like to take my Mossberg 500 I have an over the shoulder carry case for it. If the dead start to rise out of the graves then my BG AK47 most definitely. Oh man I have a few custom fixed blades I wouldn't want to leave behind, will pass them out to family and friends hopefully.

Pistol tough call on the one hand I'd choose a nine or a 40 (glocks) just because ammo is probably easier to scavenge.
On the other hand my s&w m329 is easy to pack around and I can shoot game with a.44 tough call brain says glock heart says 44 is either wrong?

Long gun this one's tricky for.me shotguns are gone just because of the long range preformance. That said that would be perfect if you had a good supply of slugs the ability to down a bird for dinner cannot be over looker lol

But for me I'd would choose a 16 inch 308 ar 10 of good quality larue ,pof, Lmt ect.
Reasons decent reach good enough up close undeniable knock down power (for man) and a good enough kill record for all game :)

My ak came in second edit also a BADASS to look at is the desert tech mdr but I don't know how well it is since it's new and I've never handled one

I mean you shoot an elephant in the eye with a 22 enough times he's bound to die right? ;)

Holy crap if this really happend no way me wife n boy are going anywhere with 2 knives and 2 guns. Any who rodent 6,bb13 if I have it if not chop house, Mossberg 12, xd 40,( many because I have a wide variety of 12 gauge and .40 ammo on hand)
 
Blades- BIG ASHBM, whats not to love? - Boney Active Duty, sharp and slicey
Handgun-HK LEM P2000 9MM- Hammer fired, Dao, stupid reliable and durable
Rifle- Arsenal SLR106FR-AK reliability and 5.56 ammo compatibility -

I'd feel confident with these four items but I'd rather have my jeep full of other knives, guns and gear if possible. Otherwise, bring it on.

Oh man... no guns in wild Australia..??.... that's like banning paddle tires on the sand dunes. The spiders alone are reason to have a gun..
