..... there are plenty of guns owned privately here mate. Note my choices in "reality" above (and look back through some of my pics). Certainly very different to the US though.

My Glock 21

Rifle is a tossup... My colt commando with the happy switch, DBAL IR laser and NODs for sheer firepower and night fighting capabilites. My Savage .22 LR bolt action because I can carry thousands of rounds or my Ruger Scout Rifle in .308 for hard hitting precision fire. Of all things the rifle is the hardest choice for me.

I really think that a bolt action .22LR is probably the best long term survival rifle. Its quiet, light weight, easy for the kids to shoot and you really can carry 3 or 4 thousands rounds in a pack.

OP basically stated we are travelling to our bug out location. I'm not worried about critter getting in this scenario, only getting to that location. (My bug out locale is set up for long term survival already.)

OK... kidding. Leaner meaner, NMSFNO, G19, and 5.56 AR.

Why? Both calibers fairly anemic, but ammo readily available. Guns without ammo make poor hammers.

Infi better than 3V....for corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. Been there done that.

BK14 Eskabar, BK4 Machax, M&P .45 full size, and either my Aero M5E1 (AR10 pattern) or a Remington 870. And all the ammo/mags I could carry.
 
Well, since the family farm is only one hard days walk away if I travel light, I'm only bringing one blade and I think it's going to be the Double Talon Mistress. More for its characteristics as a weapon and not for other knifey uses. I'll let the wife decide if she wants to carry the SOB or TGLB. Then I'm grabbing the AR and the Beretta 92 because they hold more ammo than my other guns.
 
I don't have it in hand yet, but I'd grab my 2GBM-e and my AD for knives. Firearms would be the only two I have: My S&W Model 65-2 and my Remington 887 Nitro Mag. Figure the wheelgun can handle .38 and .357 and the shotgun, well, shotgun's a shotgun. Bird shot, buckshot, slugs, weird homemade rounds, etc... Plus it has the added ability of firing 3" magnum shells. And 12ga ammo is everywhere.

BB13 if it has shipped by the TEOTWAWKI if not then the Battle Saw, unless we are talking Zombies then it would be the AK.

Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 mag would be my first choice but the Springfield XD 40 would be good too.

Toss up here. I like the S&W MP15, but likely I would take the Ruger Gunsight Scout set-up with my Burris Scout scope.
