Probably an unpopular choice, but mine would be the Mora Eldris. Small enough to pocket, would probably be legal in most places (always double check your knife laws), and the handle is fairly comfy despite the compact profile. I think most of us here would have a use for a dependable small fixed blade.

I love that I have a lot of these basics. I'd give 'em a large OTF, maybe a Microtech, or maybe Microtech collabing with a company in Italy for a traditional look. I WOULD spend $400 for a real, usable, 5", Microtech "stiletto". Mainly because I want to see the world opening mail, cutting their old-lady-Werthers-Originals, doing everything they do, with the "SSSHHCLICK" of a stiletto.

I'm also issuing Lil Matriarchs.

Nah, for real, I like the guys who wrote Mora Eldris and Opinel no. 8, would also take Buck 110, Higonokami, MAM, K55, you know the list....

Are you referring to fent, when you talk about poorly made knife knockoffs traded for poorly made analogues of crystal? It's just that's the only part of this comment that left me scratching my head. Was it an analogy for work/lack thereof, with the "snooze button" comment, like some kind of "opium for the masses" type analogy, or are you referring to a literal drug? I cannot figure out what you mean by "poorly made knockoff of crystal meth" that could co-exist with the larger point you're trying to make, unless you're referring to literal synthetic stimulants. Alibaba is the only company I can see bartering in those terms. "Okay, okay, 50lbs of the finest North Korean crystal ran through China for 10,000 of those Tanto PM2s from your factory - I love the tanto and it's always sold out!" the big boss says.
