I don't remember my dad ever having a knife.
He had a genuine Wilkinson Mameluke sword which got stolen some years ago but, surprisingly, it had little sentimental impact on me.
I have a multi-blade folder of my Grandfather's.
It has one broken blade and the rest have a lot of mysterious stains and globs on them.
Maybe I ought to take another look at it.
I think Bob Simonich wrote something about the value of all the stains and knicks on a knife.
Anyway, I have designed, ordered and paid (credit card) for my dream knife, and when I get it I will tell you all about it.
