If You could have ANY Knife in the world, what would it be?

I've changed my mind. I think I would choose the knife they used to circumcise me.

Now THAT was blade with historical significance!

Although there are so many knives and swords that I drool over, and lust for, if I were in a position to acquire it, I would ask for Miyamoto Musashi's Bokken.

I feel it symbolizes, moreso than even his daisho, the ultimate perfection of the warrior spirit and Bushido. To have reached a plane of skill and purity, wherein you can no longer in good faith take advantage of a lesser opponent by using an equal weapon, is the greatest of all goals. This I believe to be true, whether your weapon is the sword, the abacus, or the pen. Thus, the ideal that the wooden katana represents makes it far more priceless to me than any other blade.

Kalindras, what about his oars that he used

Or the fence post he used in his first duel

Kisu--

True, while these, too, represent an ability to make the best of an otherwise untenable situation, I feel that neither of them demonstrates the true spirit of the matter, as (according to the tales I heard, at least) they were both implements chosen in desperation--one, in the desperation of having no other ready weapon, the other in the desperation of an unarmed youth. If you have any other info on the incidents, please feel free to enlighten me...otherwise, it's my story, an' I'm stickin' to it!!

On a serious note I think the above instances(bokken, oar, and fencepost) where an example of an inate state of "no sword", something he didn't realize\master until much later in his life. So in one sense they are all the same. Oi, I ramble too much, sorry.

Thanks, Kalindras.
That story had left me unsatisfied until I read your interpretation.

The drop point hunter given to me by my father on my 14th birthday. It's a Precise Deerslayer, and you must understand that my dad hated "weapons" and never understood my fascination with them. Yet he went out, on his own (I didn't ask for it) and got me this mirror-polished hunting knife, in a way validating my love of knives, the outdoors, and hunting. Dad was a city boy himself, but he's got the heart of a true outdoorsman.

I just realized, I already have the greatest knife in the world - it is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God - EPHESIANS 6:17 and HEBREWS 4:12.

At the moment, if I could have any knife in the world, it would be that large fighter/combat blade by Bill Moran.
The model escapes me at the moment. An SP something ? Funny looking crooked handle. Double hilt. 10 inch+ upswept blade. Awesome knife IMO.
