Now, I am not sure whether or not this kind of thread has gone before or not, but I am very interested in asking this of you all:

If you could only have ONE Busse knife, which one would it be, which mods would you have (if any) on it, and why?

The reason for this question is that I love my new first Busse, the FFBM, but it is one HELL of a knife and in many ways is really only useful in chopping down trees and houses, cutting cars in half and hunting Sasquatch with. It is definitely on the "heavy" end of the spectrum of knives and I have never had a knife like this before. But those of you who have had the pleasure of perusing MANY different sizes and shapes of Busse knives, which one has ended up your favorite? I see more and more Hogs here boast of their NMFBMLE and though it is longer than the FFBM, it looks skinnier and lighter and easier to handle. Well, now you know what I want next! ;) Okay, now lets answer the above question.... ;)

If I could only have one it would be either one of these two because I can do anything I want with either one of them.

FFBM or CGFBM

Sorry bro wish I did have one,:( maybe some day. Its like the Grail of the Busse's around here. But I guess we can dream. I do have a FBMLE though :) but I have'nt gotten around to doing the picture thing yet. I'm kind of a dinosauer when it comes to this computer stuff. But I'll have to say you pretty much started at the upper end with your FFBM nice piece of Infi my friend.

Thanks! I totally agree! ;)

Yes you definatley need a smaller busse to go along with your FFBM. I know you said only one but once your addicted to the Infi dust its all over. :D

I'm sure MM could better answer that question more than I. He has alot of the different sizes and he uses his quite a bit.

BATAC and then CGFBM.

Lots and lots of people are far more qualified to answer that question than me - my collection is downright tiny compared to the real HOGS.

That said, my one Busse would probably be the Bushwacker Battle Mistress. Light enough to be practical to carry, able to chop but also able to do machete tasks like brush clearing, and since it's not obscenely fat like most large Busse's, it's pretty good for detail tasks and slicing if needed.

Many people have been clamoring for a large but thin Battle Mistress for quite a while, and for good reason.

...I love when the "if you could have only ONE..." topic comes up from time to time...;)

impossible to answer.

but there's always The "BUT". :D

I would say from my current "collection" the CGFBM. I think it's on the edge of lenght/weight/versatility, and it's a classic. I like more the balance of the BWM, but the CG is just more solid. ...and Ank', I don't think so that you can destroy a CGFBM, at all...:p

BUT, then there is an SFNO, the ASH, and all of the legendary straight-handle series...
As I do not have a FSH, I cannot talk about that, but I can imagine the "plain"(not the HOG) series, as a perfect "one" knife...what is non existant, we all know that.:)

Brings out the 3 lb sledge.......

No, I really don't think I could, but that extra thickness of the FFBM is just a little more security.
