If you could have only ONE Busse which would it be?

you know, when I think of the "pioneers, o pioneers" poem, that is the knife that enters my mind. Holding it, it's not pretty, but it's the best mid-sized do-everything of the busse line that I've held. If I truly could only have 1 single knife (not including axe and leatherman charge) I'd probably go with that one as well.

Exactly my thoughts
They especially go to double cut or satin finished version of the Tank Buster. These versions are a bit thinner than coated version (0.22" against 0.25"). Due to this difference the non coated TB has much thinner cutting edge (the edge on my dc tb is of the same thickness as the edge on my CG Batac), which is a big plus in all around blade. Lack of choil makes it even better! And to me TB are pretty in it's own wavy way :D

Since you already have an FFBM, and until your bank account fills out, why not pick up a mid-size Busse in the 6 1/2" blade range?

EXAMPLES:

Left-to-right above are a SJTAC (Mole Jack version), another SJTAC modded by Ban Tang (uber custom aftermarket Busse grinder), a Skinny ASH1, an ASH1 LE, and a couple of Resiprene-C (durable rubber-like compound) handled models.

 Hey Will....what are those on the far right........special military run??? INFI? specs?

Probably my modded FBMLE. Convex edge, hand shaped handles and a clip point (not sharp, so not too bad on batons).

But honestly if I had to hike to survive with it, maybe my CG ash1. Thick enough it won't ever break. Can chop and batton reasonably well.

But the true answer is which Busse if I could only have one? The answer: The next one!

Just one?

3B2 with the rear talon hole cut off and that area shaped like the SHBA and BWM's are. Also, I'd loose the G10 and have micarta put on it.

That's the Euro 6, which I understand was a military overrun for a special forces unit of a European country--much rarer than the standard black Basics, but pretty much the same construction with M-INFI blades and Resiprene-C handles. At about .26" thick, they are a tad beefier than the Basics, and they have a clip-point blade shape and blade size something like a SY Scrapper 6. Hard to see, but the one on the far right is partially serrated. Blade length is about 6 1/2" and handle size is much like a SY Dogfather or Busse Basic 7 or 9.

There many fine choices.

However, I still like the SHBM. I get a tremendous amount of use and satisfaction out of my User SHBM -- modded by the estimable Jeremy Horton to have an edge like a laser.

Now, if I could get my system to work, I'd give you a pic.

Having only one Busse knife is like eating only one pottato chip from the pack - only Chuck Norris can do it! :D

If it had been last week I'd said it was a toss up between my Skinny ASH and NMSFNO - maybe with the skinny coming out on top.

Now with my BWM here, I guess it would be her - but still way too tough a call between these three...

I am somewhat new to Busse knives, but I would have to say an NMSFNO is a great all around knife. I always carry a pocket knife with a 3"-4" blade so I think they compliment each other well. The Tank Buster is a close second.

I'd have to say FSH or SHSH11 good size for an all arounder. But the NMSFNO is another great one. Its so darn hard to decide, all I can say is good luck with just owning one.
I could'nt do it myself. :)

It would be a steel heart for me.
Either an ASH-1 CG which is unbreakable, no mater what happens (also maybe because I own one) or heavy heart, manly because I want one.

The Chuckette! (Does that even qualify as a knife?)

Or Dragon Fang?

However, since I can't obtain either of these, I'll go with the BWM... because I don't have it... and since I've been out of a job and loop until recently, I'm guessing it's still available from the looks of the company website. I should place my order... after I decide to get an LE or CG considering I still don't have the funds for both.
