If I could only have one I would lean toward something overbuilt and versatile Cold Steel 4max, XM18, Curtis F3, Sebenza 25, I know these are all expensive but if I only have one it's gonna be a nice one.

Even though it's not my current EDC it is probably the most versatile in my entire collection, so I would probably have to go with the ZT 0350 in M390. It could perform cutting tasks well enough, it could skin game well enough and it could whittle well enough. While it's not the best knife I have for any of these situations, it's definitely my most versatile.
