If you could only have one Spyderco knife? (Ended up with 2)

With $100 budget and choice only out of current production I would have to choose between Caly3.5 and Native5. This will not be easy.

THANKS EVERYONE...Yesturday was my 17th wedding anniversary...The wife wanted to get me something special this year.( I get her something special every year)..I've been itching for a Spyderco and this will be my first...It will also be my primary carry mainly because she wants to get me something I will use and need...I also think it will be neat to show it to her in ten years and say"remember this"?

There are no Spyderco dealers close, this will be ordered online so your imput has been valuable to me..So far the military model is favored the most closely followed by the Para 2...I'll probably make my decision on which one next week..Might even kick in a little if need be:)
thanks again

Depends on your overall use of knives and budget..

General/outdoor/foodprep - requires some robustness, yet still slices easily and a fairly long blade - Military or if you can get away with it, Paramilitary 2. Alternative to Para 2 is the Stretch. The Military and Paramilitary have out-sized handles - make sure you look at specs and use an object of similar proportions to see how it looks in hand... a ruler or such may work here... The Gayle Bradley is a another superb choice in this category and actually looks kind of like a gent's knife...

More of gent's knife/light duty use - Sage series (and Chapparal) shine here. The Lum is my choice (discontinued) but the Caly series works well (better?) too. A Native 5 might work here too.
The ones with choil tend to have less blade to handle if that is important to you - but make up for it with superb ergonomics.

Utility/rougher use - Delica or Endura, especially with the saber grind... Salt series can fit in here too. A good knife for not too much money. If you want to go lower, the Synonym series (Persistence, Tenancious, etc)

I'm changing my answer from the Manix2 to the Gayle Bradley. However I have my first Para2 on the way.
